I think Minobe's soundtrack for Rule of Rose is one of the greatest ever made. You've done this justice, sir!

But is the lyric pure white, just like SIN? Or is it pure white, just like SILK? I just had trouble with sin being "pure white". But silk in it's raw form is pure white...

Thank you! As for sin it makes perfect sense to me, as "lie" is a sin, and when you're serving a white lie that you love someone then it is like roses in May, they are lovely and later die. Next year new flowers, or new love if you will

Very true. I am so truly confused about the true meaning of the story itself. It seems to be about how little girls can become obsessed, manipulative and controlling over one another. So that would fit perfectly. My husband and I just couldn't wrap our brains around it. Also, what is your opinion on the gender of the original vocalist? I had no idea there was a debate as it seems obvious to me it is a woman (perhaps Mai Yamane herself) but others appear to be convinced it is a man.

I'd put my bets on female. She will do him harm by breaking her own arm - could be to destroy his reputation so noone else would want him, or merely to show that hidden pain in a physical way to play the strings of his conscience. Now only a woman is that wicked ;)

As for the mic, in my 5 latest vids I have used an AKG C214 membran condensator mic. Before that, a dynamic Shure SM58 mic.

Nice. I exclusively use a Neumann TLM-103. I find that it seems to take a bit of the warmth from my voice but otherwise the sound reproduction is amazing. Your voice clearly needs no assistance in that department!
