Best advice is to push with your abs and not with your throat. If it hurts don't do it, drink some tea and try it a different way. Sadly everyone's vocal cords are different and we can't make certain sounds. Find a scream that works for you and go for it. It's sad I can't sound like Jeremy McKinnon. lol.
