I first heard this song as done by Fairport Convention. I love it; it's so sweet. Thank you for such beautiful lyrics, and for this video. I enjoyed hearing it sung by its lyricist.
So good to hear this again! I don't think I've heard it since 80-82 when Any Trouble used to play at the Rose & Crown in Stalybridge, my hometown until I left in 83. (I'm now in Australia). Almost 30 years later this brings back so many memories! Thanks for posting, and Go Clive!!!
Hi aartman01, like you I'm English living in Australia (Melbourne). Have to confess I love this song sung by Christine Collister, with Clive accompanying her on guitar. She sings better than him - he plays better than her! I first saw them at the Port Fairy Folk Festival about 20 years ago and they blew me away, particularly Christine - best English female singer since Sandy Denny. Great memories....

Clive, You rock! And, as that voice once famously said, "I remember when he bought Bert Weedon's first songbook!"
