  • Great video and the only one I've found that covers this very common problem! The area around the float is very prone to lime scale build up, as can be clearly seen in your video as the yellow/black gunge. And because its on the fresh water side, no amount of chemical de-scaler added to a wash cycle will touch it! It was soo bad on mine I had to remove the float housing completely and scrub it clean under the tap. Works great now, cheers!

    Thanks for your response.

You did a thorough job, probably the best way. I didn’t have the courage to remove the float housing completely. Would be nice when the float was more easily accessible...

  • Great trouble shooting and remedy skills on such a complicated dishwasher. I have a similair BOSCH unit that is now 10 years old and still running perfectly due to regular maint. Question: Have you wondered why home dishwashing units are so complicated, but commerial dishwashers are very simple and much more effective and efficeint?

  • Sorry for the late response. I think Bosch did a good job to lower the risk of flooding. Unfortunately they made the float system not easily accessible.

I have never seen a professional dishwasher. How did they solve the problem?
