when they say ur opponent card effect they mean a effect activated by your opponent so when they activate your oppression its considered your opponents card effect
Spirit Reaper's effect activates AFTER book of moon resolves. And when book of moon resolves reaper is already facedown thus it can not activate. So if u book of moon a spirit reaper it does not die,but it's simply flipped facedown
no it doesnt. it- is called a chain book activates, then spirit chains with his effect. a chain resolves backwards so spirits effect goes first= destroyed, then book resolves. it is in the rule book read it sometime.
No, ive had it confirmed that Spirit Reaper does not die. Spirit Reaper lets the card resolve when it is targeted (like Brain Control, techically the card would still change owners, then die), so Book DOES resolve, there is no chain. Spirit Reaper does not create a chain using the target effect. If Spirit reaper said when this card is targeted, negate that card and kill this, THEN BoM wouldnt work.
plus, grandmaster + oppression doesnt work. Grandmaster has to be destroyed by your opponents EFFECT, not your own. Since oppression is under your control it is considered your own effect, even though your opponent is choosing when to trigger it. Its a good idea, but sadly it doesnt work because of such ruling.
that doesnt work grandmaster with oppresion because GM says ur oppents card effect and thats ur own oppresion

i thought spirit reaper doesn't die from book of moon, because its flipped down so the effect doesnt kick in
omgpwned1234 2 years ago
it does because as soon as you activate book of moon and target spirit reaper, spirit reaper effect chain and resolves before book of moon's effect

acutally spirit reaper does not die.
