@ashleyhoward14 That's a broad question and there's no "best" setup. One approach is to take a DI signal into an audio interface into your computer. Then, use an amp simulator in front of Recabinet on a mixer channel in your DAW. Another approach is to use an outboard preamp, amp, or pedal (as the video describes.) If you have any further questions, hit our forum.
Hey there , amazing software...but could you make a video tutorial of how to use Recabinet with guitar rig 4 and pod farm 2.5 , i mean how to use them together in a recording environment like adobe audition , reaper , Cubase , and Pro Tools ... thanks
@muradobaisat Sure, perhaps we should do an in depth tutorial. In the mean time, you should check out Adrian's videos in our favorites list, he goes into some detail about this.

Ive been using the one of two 8 ohm output instead of the line out because i lose presence and depth punch options when i use it, will this have negative effects on my head?
@crayonsrcool9 What is your entire signal path? DO NOT hook up a speaker output to anything other than a speaker or an appropriately rated load box such as the THD Hot Plate.
@Recabinet guitar - isp decimeter - engl powerball - 8ohm output 1 goes to a 412, 8ohm output 2 goes to a Yamaha mixer, it can apparently handle the impedance.
Great sounds.....I have a big problem when panning. I record guitars using my digitech pedal direct to my pc via usb into Cubase 5. I record mono. Then I use recab and pan. I also bounce it because I need to conserve cpu usage. I bounce it twice as a mono export, but when I import it back into cubase and pan, my waves position analyzer says my sound comes dead centre even though I've panned hard left and right. what am I doing wrong??? I need an urgent response. thank you.
@zilchdk If you pan the exact same audio hard left and hard right, it's exactly the same thing as a center panned mono track, although there will be a small difference in volume depending on your pan law settings. Even if you run the mono track through different Recabinet settings on each side, your overall signal will still have a largely mono signature because the majority of the audio is the same.
If you want to double track your guitars - do two separate performances.
@Recabinet Thanks. I'll try it out and get back to you. Recabinet is pretty good....way better than the cab impulses I use. Keep up the good work guys.
@Recabinet If i want to 'quad track' guitars, do i have to do 4 SEPERATE performances, or could i get away with two performances (each with 'dual' tones) ??
@NevvyC There's no rules, but ideally you will record 4 seperate performances to achieve the thickness of quad tracking. It's the differences between each performance that stack and create the thickness, but it's also possible to get great tones with double or single tracking (plenty of Led Zeppelin and Van Halen tracks had only one track of rhythm guitar - and nobody ever accused those guys of bad tone.)
@abazhxc Not everyone has a THD Hot Plate, and some other load boxes lack this feature. A lot of people are building their own dummy loads these days - we just wanted to make the advice universal. Use whatever output sounds the best for your music, it's always good to record tone tests and see what you like!
hi, I have a Blackstar HT 5 head + the 2 matching cabs, can I use recabinet without the Hot Plate? for ex connecting the amp from the FX send directly to the audio interface? thank you
@uskypg You'll need to connect the cabinets, in that case, as it is a tube amp after all. One thing you can try is putting the amp on standby - some amps will still send line level signal out the FX send while on standby, muting the cabinets.
@jvayne It's compatible with the VST 2.x specification, so it should work in Acid (although it hasn't been tested, nor has anyone asked until now.) The plugin works well in every VST host we've tested. You can always try the free demo.
What is the best setup? Clean Guitar straight plugged into PC?

If I may ask a question, why would we use the fx send of a tube amp instead of the THD line out ? Isn't the sound fuller with it ?
If you can enlight me on that point that'd be great !

@Recabinet Ok thx ! I'm actually using the line out cause it gives way more power imo, but with this I was wondering if I was wrong or not.
thx for replying
