  • For as long as the law of supply and demand is being violated by OPEC by turning the spigot of the oil pipes, there will always the need for fuel alternatives. I am afraid the time is up for oil to be the only source of power for mobility. There are a lot of alternatives and some of them are very clean and very cheap. It has started and it is the beginning and will be the decline of oil. It is still going to there but it is not going to be the source of political power.

  • Lets just ignore that in an accident everyone in every vehicle involved will die in one of these shitboxes.

  • For zero emissions there are other kinds of possibilities. There is pneumatic, electric, compressed natural gas (CNG) and there is rechargeable Zinc/Water. I am not sure but it seems like compressed hydrogen is a decoy and a net energy waster and will likely require some expensive hardware. It is likely a trick of the energy industry to maximize the convoluted use of energy, waste energy in producing energy, steer away from more workable forms. The big deal is to not waste or throw away energy.

  • Natural gas can be used to generate electric even within peoples homes, with the heat being saved for heating, in an on site insulated water tank. This way the heat used can alway be saved for later use. A huge electrical grid could be smaller. Heat would not be lost in production and transmission People could charge their auto and batteries and heat their homes simutaneously with minimal heat loss to production and transmission. There is also locally generated methane from composting.

  • First of all people to reduce car size to get better mileage. Hydro cars are still very expensive, plus recent dips in gas prices do not help their apeal.

  • We're finally doing it... I can't believe it's happening. And they are implementing crude Nanotechnology none the less! Carbon nanotubes to contain the hydrogen fuel? That's perfect!
