Oasis....their simple and strong lyrics are just outstanding especially about the songs in Definitely Maybe. Although Gallaghers have a bad mouth, they don't put any bullshits into their songs and they really appreciate freedom of speech, freedom, economy, human rights instinctively as well.

I'd like to comment on the fact that a few people have suggested blur are better musos. From someone who actually plays guitar and has a diverse range of musical taste i'd like to point out that all of Blur's songs are extremely easy to play (which doesn't make them bad)and very repetitive. Many of their best tunes are the same one or two chords over and over again. Lyrically, Noel and Oasis are miles ahead of Damon and Blur. Oasis are more rocknroll whereas blur just write songs that will sell.
I prefer oasis, but both of them are really good bands. It is true that many songs made by blur sound really different, but it doesn't mean they sound better, and nowadays oasis is still releasing albums and blur isn't. great groups both of them, anyway

Oasis are clearly better than Blur, even if they have stop making music.
Damon Albarn is cute, okay, but you cant compare his songwriting with Noel's (he writes hymns all the time), just with "wonderwall" they will beat any of the 90's bands and is not even in their top 10 best songs!. Besides that, Liam is just THE VOICE OF A GENERATION and of many others today. The two of them have this attitude that make them GODS, specially Noel and Liam also wrote beautiful songs. LIVE FOREVER!!!!!

Is it because of the lead singer of Blur is handsome or something?
Noel's song writting skill is better than the Blur guy's.
Liam's voice is better and more unique than the lead singer of Blur to me.
And Oasis had an energy to rock and fly from a working class.

Oasis....their simple and strong lyrics are just outstanding especially about the songs in Definitely Maybe. Although Gallaghers have a bad mouth, they don't put any bullshits into their songs and they really appreciate freedom of speech, freedom, economy, human rights instinctively as well.
I don't hate Blur but, Blur is like making crap which can't be a poison or a medicine over and over with a different approach. I mean their music isn't that bad but, also isn't deep enough somehow.

i don't know why Oasis fans (i´m a Oasis fan) are very strange with Blur, they say they´re shit and that kind of things, don´t worry, also I said that kind of things, but after i began to listen to Blur, not a lot, well, but they´re a great band, Oasis vs BLur is only a product of the news,tv and all that shit in the UK, Noel Gallagher sometimes tell that he thing that Damon Albarn is a great composer, son, we have to stop this, and began to say that the real shit is justin bieber,gaga,etc

@simplebloke123 What about the Beatles? They were the best band ever no one has been or will be better. Although I am a massive oasis fan I’ve got to admit the beatles are better than Oasis. Although Oasis are the closest band that will ever come close to being better than the beatles, and Oasis are this generations Beatles.

Clearly you like oasis the best, This was a very one sided video. None of your blur quotes had anything interesting to say about the band or their music whereas the Oasis ones were really good. AND BLUR ARE BACK. Don't get me wrong, at one point, I really liked Blur and thought they were innovative, but Oasis just took my breath away. Also if time being a test in this, let's just say I still listen to Oasis almost everyday and hardly listen to Blur's music! Oasis' music really stands the test of time - still exciting and fresh as ever while Blur's seems somewhat dated. In addition, just saw Oasis 4 nights ago and they are still rocking the house! For me, definitely Oasis!!!

I'd dodge a bullet for blur.
If you noticed, the pictures in Oasis were all depressing. The song too. But in Blur, the song was uplifting and in the pictures, everyone was smiling.

@WierdPivotDude That's pretty American. Oasis were not depressing, they just have done cocaine or other drugs too much. Their songs are powerful rather than depressing if you know the background of fixed society of England.
Blur members make smile because they grew up in a greenhouse.

I'd like to comment on the fact that a few people have suggested blur are better musos. From someone who actually plays guitar and has a diverse range of musical taste i'd like to point out that all of Blur's songs are extremely easy to play (which doesn't make them bad)and very repetitive. Many of their best tunes are the same one or two chords over and over again. Lyrically, Noel and Oasis are miles ahead of Damon and Blur. Oasis are more rocknroll whereas blur just write songs that will sell.

I prefer oasis, but both of them are really good bands. It is true that many songs made by blur sound really different, but it doesn't mean they sound better, and nowadays oasis is still releasing albums and blur isn't. great groups both of them, anyway
