It's just overwrought. Too much of an attempt to put "feel" into the music instead of just letting the music come out. People like Justin Vernon's voice because he doesn't sound like he's trying. Not lazy, but natural. The breathy sound after you finish a note is indicative of you "trying" too hard to imbue your performance with emotion. Sorry it's not a "Hey, ur awesom" comment, but I think you could really improve your performances by toning it WAY down.
