@goku3809, bro, u played kof xi didnt u? if u end the game with kyo's team, (kyo, iori, and shingo) u'll see that ash actually OWNED iori in ROTB and stole his powers.... the iori in turns owned kyo!

u don't even know the story : riot of blood iori caught kyo off guard and fuck him up, then shingo tried to save kusanagi but uncontrolled iori beat him into a fuckin pulp. afterward, ash came and stole the magatana ( iori's item like the sword of kusanagi) from behind him.

1) ash didn't fight orochi iori like the coward he is

2) he stole his power while riot of blood iori was about to kill kyo, he doesn't get attention to ash

3) everything is explain in ash's kof xiii story

it was probably damage scaling! that seems plausible it also looks unblockable in close range
