u need a balanced diet, exercise, yoga, vitamins/minerals/protein/amino acids/fish oils (omega 3 6 9), a positive environment/strong social network of friends, people to talk to, hobbies, goals, etc. Keeping busy and active with activities that you like are a plus to keep people from becoming isolated...i think educating yourself is crucial so u can help solve your own issues when u can...its nice to have that independence...it also keeps u from following blindly what others say to u...good luck

"Post partum depression" is a mumbo-jumbo term for someone who is frightened out of their wits over the awsome responsibility of motherhood. It is an emotional reaction to an attitude. It is not a disease that should be treated with drugs. It can be treated with rational talk and conversation that reassures the new mother.
I got off ADHD medication when I was in my teens and not because I was told to stop but because I chose to. I got over the issues and gained control of them. Chemical drugs are a joke, herbal medication has been around for century's and we got by fine with just them. Mental issues in the brain are piss poor excuses to put someone on medication period because it is 100% possible for people to gain the control over it.

u need a balanced diet, exercise, yoga, vitamins/minerals/protein/amino acids/fish oils (omega 3 6 9), a positive environment/strong social network of friends, people to talk to, hobbies, goals, etc. Keeping busy and active with activities that you like are a plus to keep people from becoming isolated...i think educating yourself is crucial so u can help solve your own issues when u can...its nice to have that independence...it also keeps u from following blindly what others say to u...good luck

I got off ADHD medication when I was in my teens and not because I was told to stop but because I chose to. I got over the issues and gained control of them. Chemical drugs are a joke, herbal medication has been around for century's and we got by fine with just them. Mental issues in the brain are piss poor excuses to put someone on medication period because it is 100% possible for people to gain the control over it.

Yeah you can cure anything with vitamins according to Tom Cruise. Ellie Perkins, a Scientologist, thought the same about her schizophrenic son - that he could be cured with vitamins too. He stabbed her 77 times.

ok i try not to comment but i would like to say this. when i was in fourth grade i had my first random panic attack. out of nowhere. i was shown to a psychiatrist and he gave me a anti depression prescription to help me deal with this. i took these pills for one year and i willfully weaned myself off them. it wasnt hard at all. and guess what? here i am today going into my senoir year of high school and practicly cured. i cant immagine what could have changed if i didnt take those pills.

Cruise does NOT have the educational background to dispose psychiatry... His (arrogant) views come from an "education" about psychiatry from scientology. He's pretty fucked up from that preposterous cult. Arrogant, and non credible. He's a high school dropout.

Tom Cruise is just off the wall. I cannot think of a celebrity in the world that might give their right arm to tell 40 million TV viewers "I know the nature and origins of Psychiatry and you don't". Well so what if people don't? Who should? It is not exactly in other words the main topic on everyone's mind at breakfast so to speak.

actually Tom has a few points - I have read a fair bit about froid and yung and they just made it up as they went along - psychiatry is an imperfect science at best and a lot of quackery is inherent in its practice as for the drugs he's right there too on most of them with little knowledge behind there prescription as for scientology well it's a crock...

You seem like the type who feels the need to take shots at anything that's different from her/his beliefs. I don't know much about Scientology either, and I'm more than willing to admit that. I don't need to accuse Cruise of practicing witchcraft.
As far as cults go, name any system of beliefs or education/socialization that can't be compared to a cult

Yeah... that's my fucking point. Cruies does NOT have a formal education in psychiatry... hence he lacks credibility on the topic. MYy wife on the other hand, has a PhD, Psych. Her opinion has validity, Cruise... does not.
And perhaps learning a bit about Scientology will give you a better picture too.
