Sorry for the misunderstanding but another point is to produce electricity you need another process which will again require some kind of a resource usage such as nuclear, fuel, water turbines, wind mils. Sure gulf cars use less technology but when it comes to the road you need safety, speed, grate distance and a heavy load to pull sometimes both day and nights & That's where the computers in the conventional road going electric cars come in to place

Well there are cars that runs on water (H2O) well make some engines that have the same power which the fuel engines can give and fix them on cars. The simple fact is no matter ho heavy the car Electric Cars will always be more efficient becasue in Internal-Combustion engine over 50% of the energy is lost to HEAT, 20% to Chemical, and only roughly 10% to 15% to Kinetic(the other percentages are spread pretty even) so in fact, if you could buy $3000 cars to get you to work and back once a day, and for a few errands as well, and only 1 car to get you long distances that would Improve Efficiency Tremendously

We are doing things now like Cylinder deactivation which shut off engine cylinders when not needed for an 8% increase in economy & Stop-Start technology which cuts your engine off when your car stops and back on smoothly again when it starts for around another 8% increase. BMW uses S-S now & both GM & Chrysler are using C-D. Ford will follow soon with C-D in its new cleaner engines that without S-S offer a 17% increase.
Oops I typed 17% but I meant 7%. BTW Cylinder deactivation & Stop-Start technology can be merged to give us a 16% increase in fuel efficiency as well as lowering greenhouse gasses.
For the record, all of you, who like fast gas guzzling cars but care about the environment more should destroy them, buy environmentally friendly mini vans and replace your fast cars with motorcycles. Dropping the bombs on Japan ended the war sooner and saved all the lives that surely would have been taken in an invasion. Japan and Germany both had programs to build atomic bombs. We're lucky that we created them first. You could be sure that the evil empire would not have exercised restraint on us. It could be a very different world today if that hadn't happened. The simple fact is no matter ho heavy the car Electric Cars will always be more efficient becasue in Internal-Combustion engine over 50% of the energy is lost to HEAT, 20% to Chemical, and only roughly 10% to 15% to Kinetic(the other percentages are spread pretty even) so in fact, if you could buy $3000 cars to get you to work and back once a day, and for a few errands as well, and only 1 car to get you long distances that would Improve Efficiency Tremendously

Little car a good concept? Yes. Practical? Absolutely not. First, the reason vehicles (not the Hummer for those ego-maniacs) need that space is for groceries or whatever they need to carry how silly would it be to buy a vehicle just for mundane tasks like groceries? Second, manufacturers need to build a larger frame to meet both the countries' safety standards as well as their own. These cars certainly don't cut it...

We are doing things now like Cylinder deactivation which shut off engine cylinders when not needed for an 8% increase in economy & Stop-Start technology which cuts your engine off when your car stops and back on smoothly again when it starts for around another 8% increase. BMW uses S-S now & both GM & Chrysler are using C-D. Ford will follow soon with C-D in its new cleaner engines that without S-S offer a 17% increase.
