I think Zildjian´s A custom EFX are better than these AAX O-zones. I own a 18 inch EFX A custom and its awesome!!, super sensitive and explosive, it has a very interesting sound, brilliant and trashy at the same time. these O-zones are only trashy. The other thing is that i think that Zildjian invented the fact of making holes to a cymbal. I have a 2001 catalog of Zildjian and they already have a cymbal with holes, the EFX of the discontinued Re-mix series

I own the AAX 18" O-Zone Crash and I hit them sort of hard, so far they are fine and dont show any sings of breaking, Also you dont need to hit this crash with a lot of force, and it rides nicely.

That's true. Most Zildjian cymbals sound clangy. It's hard to find ones that really sizzle and sound good. You can sometimes, but anywhere you go you'll always find Sabian cymbals that sound good. Plus, Zildjian hasn't hand hammered a cymbal since 1979, before Sabian came along! They only hand hammer the Constaninople series and they are frightenenly expensive. Sabian hand hammers 4 of their series.

Yeah, Zildjian decided to revolutionize instead of stick with the old tradition. Ever notice how those four series sound the best? Except for AAX Metal series, but that's just my opinion.
