i am so looking forward to watching this on David Suchet at lunch today! I feel like i've discovered buried treasure here in the US.... when I found out last week that BBC has done WDYTYA for years!! with many of my favorite people. Thank you so much for this...
@ShabrinAless The quality is just fine! Honestly...it's Youtube, not the cinema. This is *very* good for a Youtube vid. Thank you very very much for uploading.
I have fond memories of visiting my grandparents in Kessingland, lovely place and the old village where they used to live. I think its great that the place has been mentioned in the programme. It is always extremely windy that particular coastline i'm not surprised the brig capsized in such stormy weather. On another note David Suchet is a great actor and a great Poirot!
I am not sure why Jerry Springer is in the mix there but this seems more interesting then the american version of course that has sarah jessica parker amoung others that I find flat.
1) This show is a wonderful hour-long plug for ancestry.com
2) Just because you had an ancestor five generations ago who had an affinity for sailing while you also like being on the water doesn't mean you've inherited anything from him.
@levanyzzuf Interesting you mentioned ancestry.com. The UK versions here don't use them at them. They are all about looking up censors in the library and old bits of paper that you need gloves for.
@Jovitinha Well, the American version uses various sources but they do plug Ancestry.com. I honestly think that NBC did a better job with the American version of this show than PBS did with their Henry Louis Gates genealogy show. Which is good, because that means it was renewed and gives it a chance to get more people interested in their heritage.
Fascinating! When he shows up the photo of his grandfather, its impossible to decide wheather its David Suchet or Hercule Poirot! He has become one with his most briliant character and this IS what being an actor means. Real amaizment!

Grocer's Assistant does equal Theater, just like Actor equals waitress/waiter in Hollywood.

it's very strange to me to hear him speak without the accent he does so well as hercule poirot. Almost as if this is not his real voice :-))

if you close your eyes and listen to him talking, he sounds very like Terry Wogan, I think

How simple it starts and what an intriguing thrilling search develops - my favorite Poirot -moving how you found your far away relatives!
