I wish these were on tv instead of Big Time Rush, or Hannah Montana. Underdog is a better role model for kids.I know I like him more than the other shows!
Two things come to mind. #1. Sgt Flim Flanagan was the same policeman who always called for "The Hunter". #2. Electric Eel was probably the thought behind the more recent cartoon, and of course the new character was now a good guy, Static Shock.
Heh, and guess Underdog is the reason there's no more phone booths. The government and the phone companies realized they're spending too much money replacing them.
At 3:18, Sweet Polly exclaims great surprise at the mention of the name "Slippery Eel"---you'd think an ace t.v. reporter would have already known who Slippery Eel was.
She must've been on vacation the week of Slippery's robbery.
Also, I'm forced to wonder---does Polly suffer from A.D.D.? She seems to forget Underdog's super-energy ring week in/week out.
This is my favorite too! I remember seeing this in reruns as a kid and thinking how dangerous of a villain The Electric Eel was, the worst Underdog had ever encountered. I'm so glad I found your channel! Thanks for bringing back some happy childhood memories!
All right, the Electric Eel! I remember the clip at 4:57 - 5:03 showed up on a Nickelodeon "We'll be right back" bumper on a recording of "A Muppet Family Christmas" I taped off Nick cira 1994.
