"This episode marks the final appearance of Mayor Roy Stoner" Thank God, I allways hated the character a stuck up jerk who Andy several times proved the Mayor was not as smart as he thinks.
The bottom line is be who you are no matter what. I love these episodes as they always have a message of love or redemption or whatever. Very few show do that today.
Ya know here I'm am a black guy raised on Jimi Hendrix , James Brown and Barry White, but gotta tell you guys, that music just took me to heaven. That good ole southern belle charm. Nobody in this world would believe how much I love these old songs from Andy and the boy's. It's just simple - fun- delightful - happy- clean music. Lord I thank you the Andy Griffith Show!
Mayor Stoner is the ultimate jerk, lol. Go on and judge that book by its cover, Mayor!! I love how Andy got Rafe back into his farmin' clothes to teach a valuable lesson - as he was always so good at doing on the show. Beautiful song and beautiful singing from Jack Prince. I woke up with this in my head this morning after seeing this episode last night and haven't been able to put my guitar down since!
@ThuslyBoned , I hate the Mayor but I love how everytime Andy puts the Mayor in his place and proves him wrong. For Example in another episode The Mayor was sure the Govenor was going to be angry for getting a Ticket from Barney and it turned out the Governer was pleased Barney did his job with out playing favorites.
Can you imagine Rafe singing "When the Levee Breaks" (Led Zep)...would be wicked

That's actually Prince singing and Griffith on the guitar, although obviously it was recorded, and they're synching it in the episode.
