@PingByter Alot of planes/jets have throttle on the left hand side of tthe pilot. Maybe not a bog commercial airline but for smaller planes like jets they do. And that's what the joystick is for.
Hi guys. I'm interested on the possibility for the joystick to have an accurate movement on the z axis. Does some1 know if are there in commerce simpler joysticks (adaptable for different types of games) with the latter feature: the precise movement in the z axis (at all the 360°).
@NopeMusic I know, sounds like it right. I'm pretty sure it's probably someone they sampled from if anything though lol. Definitely ain't one of their songs, b/c I would have heard it before :P.
There are a LOT of artists who use that noise so it could be anyone really.
I liked your review, I only wish you gave more examples of the use of the many buttons i.e. on HAWX or FSX or so... Would have been awesome. But thanks anyways !
@splashjump Wow that is a cool Joystick! Unfortunately Mad Catz, the company who own Saitek are real stodgy with their review samples so its unlikely that I'll get one for review :(
Mine is two days old...it already has calibration issues and believe it or not...is the only joystick that I've EVER OWNED which won't allow the user to calibrate it. It's "User Profile Interface" is bug-laden and more often than not won't work inside the game. I mean, how irritating is it when you pull the trigger (and nothing happens) and your vehicle is always moving/flying into the ground because it's calibration is off and is always pointing down. LOL
You say the LCD screen has a clock on, being a multi function display can it also control the autopilot functions? It would be real handy to be able to see and set the functions when flying.
@Alexander25C Ok, the Pro has improved screen which shows more data. Some of the pro is made from metal. The pro can light up 3 different colours. That's about it buddy!
tsk... I personally tried it with lock-on: modern air combat
I find nothing special with it. The rubbers underneath keep coming off. Not all buttons work with the game. Some buttons automaticly press in (even when I don't touch them), so as to make my game activate stuff I don't want.
It doesn't have any type of force feedback, which really makes me feel like I'm touching a piece of plastic rather than an aircraft...
personally, the best joystick I ever had was microsoft force feedback 2
@upsilone19 Man you just gave me some flashbacks! First joystick i ever owned was that one, being a noob and just getting our first computer with a 17'' CRT, FS2004, picked up the FF2 without even knowing if it was good, picked up my first "real" video card, FX 5700 hehe :)
@theenigmajeffhardy1 well, probabily it's the most frequent problem found in all the joystics - rudder control. there is a chance that you did not set the game settings properly, otherwise, bring ur joystick outside and throw it against a wall or fix it with a hammer as i saw a guy doing. good luck ))
best ever review on this ptoduct that i found on youtube. THANK you! till now I had a Gembird JSK 420 that is VERY cheap and best joystick i ever put my hand on and two of Genius MetalStrike pro each of them worked for a few month and then rudder control ceased working. two pieces of crap each of that cost me around 45 bucks.
Can anyone disclose how I can use the mini stick on the throttle as a mouse? I'd like to have it to pitch the camera around in my IL-2 1946 cockpit. I've tried finding the Saitek "Magic Mouse" driver and yet no links I've located appear to work. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, lads.
@theenigmajeffhardy1 Yeah, install the drivers either from the website or from the driver CD. Then go into your control panel, mouse and other hardware, joystick options. There is an option to control the MDF light on there.
1. Are the Windows 7 64 Bit Compatability Horror Stories with this True?

3. Are there any issues you or other people have encountered with this, and reccomend anything along the same price as this for a hard core Space Sim player if it has developed considerable bugs since this review?
The Attack 3 does not have rudder control. I used to own one, and yeah no rudder control. The Logitech Extreme 3D Pro has rudder control, and is the next step up from the Attack 3.
@weaponmakable Its an MSI Wind U100 netbook buddy. Pretty cheep and really small so you can take it around with you. I have reviewed it in a different video, just search for it on my channel buddy :)

@Ramschdemade Cheers buddy. Yeah its confusing, because this as you've correctly said is not the pro system, however Satek call the X52 a "pro flight control system" so thats why I said it.
my recomendation, don't buy after 10-15 mins has problem calibration everytime. trust me guys. they thinks that are big and good company fuck i have 150 evro prise gives shit.... fuck X52
Hell yeah ... works really fine for me! Even in ACE 2. I have the rudder pedals as well. (I only pilot helicopters... works on planes but didn't really tried it yet.)
Thanks for the review this is what i was looking for.... 2 questions.... can I lock the twist if i get rudder peddles and also can the spring tension be adjusted. Thanks
@Scorpio9GM Yes - the twist grip has a lock switch where it can be locked off. Unfortunately, no tension adjustment on the joystick, however the throttle friction can be adjusted.

@playmovingpictures Sooo good for exactly that! I did just that with bf2 and it works perfectly! Just assign the jet and heli controls to the joystick and throttle, and everything else to the keyboard and your laughing!

Stardust ftw! I thought my itunes or something turned on when I clicked this haha
on a sidenote, so many decisions :( Was just gonna go for the cheap aviator until your review showed how slippery the base was, wonder how hard itd be to try and makeshift a solution as I don't know anywhere that sells "rubber bottom things" haha
Yeah, to stop it slipping you could try putting Blue Tac or as its known in the US mounting clay on the bottom of it to stick it to the desk. That worked for me :)
