Ha! We played this song in my orchestra class! Good memories. And Utena rocks; she's one of my all-time favorite fictional characters. Maybe partly because she reminds me of myself? I dunno.

Oh wow... I never noticed before, but even though she's a captain, Juri wears the stripes of a corporal. Does that mean she constantly sells herself short? Or that she pretends to be tougher than she actually is?

Corporal? The rank insignia of a Corporal are two Chevrons pointed upward with two rifles cross underneath.

That's not a Corporal insignia.

Well, I don't claim to be an expert on military apparel, or anything, but she definitely has the two chevrons. I've seen the crossed rifles before, but on a bunch of different ranks, so I guess never really made the connection.

The only uniforms I've seen up close in RL are Canadian - maybe that's where we're confused.

Well in the actually anime series, not this movie,she was only captain until the actual captain came back. So I'm not sure if this answers your question.

I haven't heard of Bond, but this song is a remake of Palladio by Karl Jenkins. (Remember the diamond music?) Very cool amv, I love the fighting scenes.

Bond remakes a lot of older songs. They also have Canon in D and Habanera I believe... I have a few of their CDs. But yeah they cover a lot of famous classical pieces.

VERY Revolutionary Girl Utena, this music. heh. Not exactly perfect of course, but it still manages to have some genuine visual intensity and momentum throughout most of it, and it keeps to the theme well. Well done.

not bad. There was a lack of interest in the middle, and I felt you should have continued to the whitewashed "Juri in her throne" sequences, which escalated the piece. But overall, quite well done, espeically the ending with the rain on the rose. Gorgeous.
