A movie would suck, because movies of games always suck, because the whole point of a game is the INTERACTIVE part of the story. If you try to argue with that point... then go ahead. Just know that any point you bring up will be moot.

@Fiskmasen Fine 7 years then. For the rest: there's a story. It starts from A and it ends at Z, you just play it. It could perfectly be a movie. There's enough material, money and they sure as hell take their time to make it how they like it. The current cinematics are long enough for a movie, so it's not the video material that would be lacking it.

Further a movie based on a game is usually idd of less quality than the game. But that could depend on who made it as well. Blizzard knows how.

You have some points, but only because random directors had the main hand in those movies.

With that much potential income on the line, Blizzard would be as involved in an SC movie as much as humanly and inhumanly possible. Hell, if they had to, a good portion of South Korea would dedicate themselves to the movie's success. It would probably take 10 years, but it would be ridiculously epic.

And a movie is far different than the game's sparse few-minute clips.

Despite the fact that SC The Movie would be totally awesome, I highly doubt it will actually meet up to the standards. There's already been hundreds of filmatized games, and I believe on Disneys Prince of Persia is the only one that turned out damn good. Tekken tried themselves, and it was okey'ish.

Firstly, Blzzard is the only one that should make this movie, and ssecondly, key characters as Raynor, Kerrigan and Mengsk should be left out as much as possible.

But the game series itself was ruined. After wrath came out WoW went from a fun and challenging mmo to a kiddiefest. Cataclysm was there last chance to make it better and they bombed it.

But the lore is great. I now play sc2~ I don't want blizzard to change there focus from sc2 to a WoS. Like they did with wc3.
