  • an $800 1911 and u get a cardboard box lol even the cheaper rugers have nice boxes

  • best thing you said that entire review, manual is only in english

  • is this a face review or a gun review ? lol

  • For those who actually want to see the gun, rather than four minutes of paperwork and box close-ups, the first shot of it is at 3:50

  • You do this for a living?... Don't quit your night job.

  • Hey Bob,good video .My friend Jay saw it Said it was great.

    Trudy

  • rugers web page said msrp is 799.00 so real price is around 600.00 not with tax .

  • Yeah, honestly I gotta agree with some here. If you're gonna do an "unboxing" of a gun....I wanna see the GUN....not YOU...sorry.

That said, I appreciate the fact you put a vid up anyway and the fact you're a gun owner.

  • Yeah next time less face time!

  • I think for a brand new ($525.00) PT 1911.. I get as much if not more that the SR 1911. I like the PT 1911. I do, however, own a P95 Ruger and it is a real quality pistol.

  • you dont have to have mag in to engage safety just have the gun cocked. Congrats on your purchase!

  • Nice. $800 is on the steep side, but not tooth grit steep. Thanks for the trigger demsonstration! I just might get one of these.

  • @mikeb1444 $800 is really not bad for a high quality 1911, but currently you can find one for a lot closer to $600.

  • @sinajg

That's very true. My Grandfather recommended me to the Remington R1. He told me that he got it for $640 OTD at the local gunshop. That Remington is a tight gun. If you grab the slide and rock the grip, there's almost no play. I like the finish as well. I do like the colts a little more though. Their finishes are classic. They're just so expensive.. It gives me heart burn.

  • Why is every body such a dick? If you dont like his video you spend $800 on a brand new gun and then film your self unboxing and narating it maybe then you might have a leg to stand on...till then STFU and keep it to yourself. Oh and btw the video is called "UNBOXING THE RUGER SR1911" not a review or shooting, I think he realized he would be talking about the box when he wrote the title...cmon is everybody 13 here?

Thanks Robert for taking the time out of your day to inform us

  • you relize you reviewed a box for 3 quarters of the video right?

  • i thought the sr1911 was a lot cheaper than that?

  • DONT WANNA SEE YOUR FACE WANNA SEE PRODUCT!

  • Very bad camera angle approach. Either you didn't have a tripod or you like to see yourself and what others to do too.

  • I love how the peanut gallery always comments without feedback or support. Those who claim a cheapy 1911 is the same as the Ruger SR1911, good for you. Have you shot the Ruger? Do you have a soul? Does it bother you that an American heritage in firearms is made outside of US? Do you have sense of pride? If none of those things matter to you, that's fine. But for those of us who still care about pride, patriotism, and authenticity in our firearms, let us have our Ruger SR1911.

  • terrible video, Idiot.

  • @ramboninja21 - I'm sure your mother would be proud, such relivence, such intelect, such oh wait how many videos have you uploaded? Oh ya none...nm

  • Got the same gun, with the SAME features, from Metro Arms"American Classic II"......for $420

    NEW from the Phillipines! LOL

    $420.00 :)

  • @HerbWalker it not the same gun then

  • @HerbWalker You got a Ruger made in America gun that was made in the Phillipeans? NO YOU DO NOT HAVE THE SAME GUN! You're an idiot. You may have a nice weapon, but dont go running your mouth about things you dont understand.

  • @HerbWalker My dad bought that same gun and it jammed on every magazine that he shot through it.

  • Very bad video!

  • $800 for that gun?....YOU GOT RIPPED OFF BIG TIME!!!! HA HA HA

  • @EL3minutero how do you figure.... in my opinion the ruger 1911 is one of the biggest bang for your buck 1911 in the world

  • @EL3minutero You must not have that gun or a clue. The Ruger SR1911 is the best quality, most accurate 1911 I've shot right out of the box. You may be able to buy a cheaper 1911, but it'd be like a Kia compared to a Cadillac.

  • you payed 800 dollars? you got fucking ripped son

  • @MrLoveslittlekids MSRP is under $800 they are going for around $650 out the door. $800 is high

  • took 4 min. 2c the gun..then so dim we cant c it anyways

  • Ruger can keep their gun rugs...I would gladly trade them for another magazine..

  • Why did you have your pal Wayne do a field strip it? Worst video ever!

  • You shouldn't take Big Pharma drugs, they will kill you before a gun ever does.... if you only have one Mag, your FFL screwed you, Ruger is supplying a 7 round and an 8 round mag with every SR1911.....

  • @nhfoos Actually there were 2 mags in the video he said the one was free floating in the box and the other one had the takedown tool attached to it.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey, does this pistol have a "key" safety in the main spring housing like SA's do?

  • Is it wrong that gun gives me a boner?

  • @fraggle79 nope

  • Blah, blah, blah. Show us the dog gone pistol!!! Aahhh...thank you.

  • Looks like your FFL guy likes to fondle the weapons before he turns them over, lol.

  • bushing wrench ;)

  • Do you actually get 2 mags with the gun or did you have to purchase the 2nd one separately? If you got it with the gun I'd be shocked since they don't like giving people two mags for their money.

  • @eje1079 It comes with a 7 round mag that is flush with the bottom, It also comes with an 8 round extended magazine as well.

  • So, I hear it both ways...Is it OK to dry fire with no mag in the pistol? Or for that matter, is it ever OK to dry fire w/no snap cap? Loved the vid, & look forward to seeing more about this pistol!

  • @BestoinkDooly With a 1911 it's fine to dry fire it, with or without a mag. It's guns with magazine disconnects that you should never try to dry fire without a magazine in them (such as the SR9. The trigger will pull and the striker will move forward, but the disconnect will stop it, and it will put unnecessary wear on the striker.)

It's letting the slide slam home on an empty chamber that you should NEVER do on a 1911.

  • @BestoinkDooly you can dry fire it with no problems with NO mag inserted, but just dont dry fire your gun very often, why would you want to any way?

  • Neat gun. Could I suggest you standing in front of that white, well-lit wall at your far left in your next video? Seems like a good source for plenty of natural light.

  • Did you pay $800? Impactguns is taking preorders for $629.99

  • im jealous >:( good job !!!
