  • Yes and they freeze in winter more than they melt in summer.

  • ICE BEAM! ICE BEAM! ARCTIC ATTACK!

  • I've worked and lived in the arctic enough over the last 4 decades to know that this propaganda is completely over blown. The Polar Bear population is higher than the oldest elders can remember, the ice comes and goes as it has since the people first came there and it will continue on as always. Al Gore is getting rich off the gullible people who don't bother to actually go and see for themselves what is really happening.

  • Oh no its gonna devower the east coast!....but its not gonna be sudden.....Wait dont we have time to move then? (p.s. what does riding a bike around have to do with a glacier melting?)

  • man ..... all the information on Global warming and coming disasterous weather and disaster... is been kept hidden from the public view....

we should hear great natural disaster any day.....

  • all the world is drowning to wash away the sin

  • sorry to burst your bubble.. ice caps are not going to make any difference if they melt because their mass has already displaced the ocean worldwide in existing there.. according to archimedes principle of buoyancy.. its the ice melting that is on the LAND i.e Greenland etc .. that will create any significant difference to the levels of the ocean...

  • Hahaha Yes buy into the scare and hoax. Come on you WANT to believe your environment will change in your lifetime...too bad it won't its GREEN BALONEY!

  • Total sea increase (Arctic plus Antarctic) has been INCREASING for 30 years.

The Arctic was much warmer in the 1930s, long before the 1200% increase in man's fossil fuel burning after 1945.

  • lol there is nothing we can do to stop global warming. We arent the cause of it, it happens all the time. The earth warms up and then cools down. back in the medieval warm period, it was much warmer then then what it is now. If it was our fault, CO2 would rise first then temp. But its been proven temp rises first then CO2. Besides every planet in our solar system is warming up, are we causing that too? i dont think so

  • @bobby472 We don't cause it. But we do contribute to it. If humans weren't here, the effects wouldn't be so dramatic.

  • Might be to do with CO2, but its natural.

If it has got anything to do with pollution, its basically all America's fault.

  • The ignorance displayed on this page is amazing. 1) you're generally taken more seriously if you use proper grammar, spelling and capitalization. 2) markbotv3, not all of the ice that is destined to melt is currently in water - take a look at Greenland which is a landmass. The ice there isn't submerged in the ocean as is the polar ice cap covering the Arctic Ocean. 3) Your slideshow of really poor quality pictures set to jazz music fails to inspire me to "please help!"

  • why does soap kill bubble bath bubles?

  • .

New Alert from NOAA: due to significant cooling, ice expected to increase in the Arctic:

"A NOTE ON THE ICE FORECAST...SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURES ALONG THE ALASKA CHUKCHI AND BEAUFORT SEA COASTS ARE 2 TO 8 DEGREES CELSIUS COLDER THIS YEAR THAN AT THE SAME TIME LAST YEAR. SEA ICE IN THESE AREAS IS AT OR VERY NEAR THE SEASONAL MINIMUM. SIGNIFICANT ICE WILL BEGIN DEVELOPING ALONG THE ALASKA COAST NORTH OF 70N WITHIN THE NEXT 10 TO 14 DAYS."

  • water levels would go down you fucktards. ice displaces more water than itself place an ice cube in a glass of water mark the water level then let it melt and mark it again...WOW it went down!!! i say lets speed up global warming so canada and siberia will be nice places to live

  • your worng. put salt in the water and the ice floats higher, but besides that look at ice in the ocean. 10% sticks above water level, so when that melts it does infact raise the water level. But even so, not all ice is in the water. Greenland has a shit load of ice on it and its land. hmm so when all that ice melts the water level will drop? i think not

  • actually only 6% is above the water...hence the term "tip of the iceberg" and that leaves 94% underwater you fucking mook. and iceland is not a solid chunk of land it is a crecent shaped island if you remove the ice the whole center is water underneath. and antarctica will melt slower because of elevation factors

  • wht we can do to help plz reply

  • Many different things you can do.

As small as riding your bike around

to something large like switching to

a Hybrid car or using solar panels as

    your electricity.

  • So make a video about doing those things! As I said before, just showing really bad pictures of the Arctic isn't going to inspire people to do anything. I'm trying to be constructive with my comments here. If you're that inspired to post this video to YouTube then you should consider producing something with a little more meat in it. More content, more take-aways for the viewer.

  • It won't happen. I will let you ask me why.

  • new york woldent bee a pool it would be part of the ocean

  • One way to solve the rising ocean problem and feed the hungry at the same time while producing free flow energy...
