But spanish speaking countries like to call people from the united states "norte-americanos" and "estado-unidenses". that means "north-americans" or "unitedstatesmen". the french call us "ricains"

chinese people call americans "meiguoren" which actually means people from a beautiful country.i dont know why you would tae offense to any of those

but in each of those countries, calling them americans is also done. because that is also an accepted definition each of those countries. Not the only definition, but calling them americans is an accepted definition, world wide, and in each of the countries you listed.

I generalized. most that I come across that hate the fact that the people in the US are called americans, and that IS an accepted world wide defection, my personal experience as shown that the majority that wrongly say that isn't true, are in fact racist, brown pride skin color loving racist idiots. Well i have pride in being Mexican, Hnahnu(otomi). i also pride in the fact that i come from asia (land bridge theory) and that everyone hails from africa. I have pride in the religions i was brought up in, the aztec ones and christian ones. i pride in being brown, though i see no problem with being any other color.. although i dont usually go after the white girl haha

It's better to have pride for acomplishments that benefit the world as a whole. But even that type of pride, is semi dangerous to. Because once ego gets involved in benefiting a people, problems arise... in many various forms.
