  • God Bless does japanese for making best maglev and modern technology.

  • One of the best video (or even the best one) I have ever seen about maglev technology

  • nice train i love to try that.... nice japanese....

  • If I was in that train. I would be like, "Holy shit we're going fast!!!!!"

  • There are a lot of foreigners more than the expectation.

    Is Japanese Maglev interesting?

  • Maglev of Japan is 581kph. It is the fastest in the world.

However, other countries that compete without taking the guest alone at the speed are foolish.

The purpose is to carry the guest at a safe, fast, accurate time.

    Tokyo → Nagoya → Osaka =600kilometers 1hour and 30minutes.

This that carries this guest at a speed, safety, and accurate time is a purpose of JapanMaglev.

  • The trip from Tokyo to Osaka would be quite a mileage for a Maglev. I went on a day return on a shinkansen 700 from Tokyo to Kyoto.I was very impressed with the comfort, cleanliness and the efficiency. Japan amaze me,they will build it!!

They are also building a giant new Tokyo Tower!!!

  • yes, you're right

and for that we love you long time

  • The French did 574.8 kph with conventional rail, which was an amazing achievement on actual rail.

  • The advancedtechnology of Japan is the world number1!!

  • But can I ask a question?; Is the Japanese MAGLEV train suitable for frequent train station stops? Because for this to occur, it must needs travel like a conventional wheeled train (not in its maglev mode). This is unlike the German maglev (wheeless) train which can cruise comfortably between frequent stops in maglev mode. In this manner, the German maglev technology is superior to its Japanese counterpart.

  • I thought the wheels lifted at a certain speed. I know that happens with the german one running regularly in China. They had to also build a special track there.I hope somone can give more information about this.

  • The German maglev (also the one in China) is wheeless (i.e. no wheels), designed in such a way (train 'hugging' the rail) that electromagnetic ATTRACTION is used to levitate the train. There are back-up batteries should in case the 'on board' power fails. The Japanese maglev has wheels. It runs on these wheels at 'low' speed (at about 140km/hr), before electromagnetic REPULSION forces is built up enough to levitate it. Both trains are propelled forward by linear induction motors.

  • 7olusegun. Thanks very much for that genuinely fascinating information.

When you have very big mileage like in France, then the Maglev wouldn't work. The track costs an absolute fortune. They showed it in a documentary.

  • That is where the problem lies; cost. If this single factor can be soughted out adequately, then nothing stops maglev transportation completely replacing wheeled trains (especially on very long journeys). The invention of a super conducting material at near (or at) environmental temperatures will be a huge step forward (as this would eliminate huge electrical power losses via zero resistance). Over 90% of the cost problem will be solved if this material(s) is invented.

  • it does have wheels but when it reaches 140kph the wheels go up and it goes faster

  • It is not cost efficient or energy efficient to have frequent stops for the Maglev. The higher the speed, the less stops you want to have.

  • I am pen

  • Em emm; are you a biro?

  • JAL and ANA should convert TOKYOmonorail to this maglev train.

  • 581km/h...

  • too fast

  • unbelievable. it IS one of the latest techs on earth.

  • that was fast OO

  • omg... just amazing

  • its looks like a jet lol

  • It's amazing, but it takes away with him all the joy of looking at the landscape, and in a wonderful country like Japan that's all.

  • ... And the most amazing thing is that this was all filmed in Iowa!

    ... Sorry, couldn't resist:-)

  • This maglev is like Japanese cars. Not the highest level of technology, but it works...may be in 10 or 15 years.

  • can anyone fill me up on what's the world's fastest train? and which country is it actually from?

  • As of 2008, bullet trains, invented by and imported from Japan, in China may be the fastest and can run 350km/h as crusing speed.

  • This train recorded 580km/h in 2003.

    This is Guiness Record.

  • thanks!

  • I thought it was 581km/hr?

  • It recorded 581 kph in 2003, a world record which still stands. The French won the conventional rail record of 574......? on rails which was an amazing achievement.

  • I thought it was 581km/hr.

  • Yes 561 kph for the japanese Maglev for the all over record (Maglev lifts from the ground) and 574.8 kph for the French conventional record (wheels on rails).

  • Yes 581 kph for Japanese Maglev. Sorry my computer key got sticky.

  • O.K.

  • omg thats fastest train in world! i wanna ride that!

  • THATS COOL

  • inside the train look like inside the plane

  • all high speed train has that look so every passenger will face forward. If it made sideway like light weight city transit, the passenger will slide

  • but they are better at everything...

  • ja pierdole!! jest dobry

  • Phenomenal.

  • ¼o€¼yedmaa

  • japan is better!!!

  • fucken dueschland !!!!!!

  • it's german technology

  • I'm sorry but its British technology, we developed the first functional maglev train.

  • DolchiO07: British has nothing to do with Maglev. lol Show us British Maglev with links here. Britain is a FARMING country and has nothing to do with High-technology like this.

  • Wanted links? here you go:

    answers(dot)yahoo(dot)com/question/index?qid=20071226062351AA01Vcd

    en(dot)wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Eric_Laithwaite

We are entitled to some of the credit for developing maglev systems.

Now you show me some great Romanian innovations.

  • No offence, but I'm interested in this information. Could you tell me another one?

The last one has been already deleted.

  • "FARMING" Country... You have a really corrupt stereotype of Britain in your head. DolchiO07 that reply to the gajaroma comment is brillint! Well done (y)

  • Gajaroma, well done for showing the world just how "Retarded" you actually are!!!

I'm amused. DolchiO07, thanks for posting those links and making everyone aware of how foolish this person is :)

  • Dolchi something: Britain is only a FARMING country of peasant retards only. If you have any Britain Maglev, show us the link here. It will take only 3

    seconds. COPY & PASTE. lol

  • ericssson, you are jearous. show us the link of that great Germany Maglev here.

  • but they don't have the money to realise it . lol

  • But It is under construction now!

  • they are planning to finish construction by 2025. just remember, japan have 2nd GDP per capita after the US, so they do have money

  • @v6g3h7 I was talking about the germans. if they develop such a technology, why don't they use it in Deutschland?

  • @tycky2002 Because it was too expensive

  • wow. 10 billion u.s.$ / month is being used for war in iraq alone. japan spend it for technology. what's new in the u.s.? smart bombs?

  • Yes.

  • Amerika shouldn't waste time and money in military technology and selling it to Arabian Maniacs. Instead of this they should improve cars, power-plants, trains, airplanes, develope new transport systems and environmental technologies to become independent of oil. There is a lot to do.

  • very much to the point

  • inFUCKING CREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wowowowow

  • japan advance in technology unlike america..america got no jetrain, no maglev train...NOTHING!!

  • Fantastic! Ooohhh I hope they build one in North America. :(

  • lol typical american thinking they are better than every1 else

you know thats why people hate you guys

  • its also why thousands of people immigrate to america every year, more then any other country, because america is better then any other country.

  • its becouse people belive in the american dream wich is a fukin lie ! they are soon to realise that after getting sick and thrown out of the hospital to die and rot on the street !

  • Agreed, paengpaeng12

  • simple and clear

  • i dont think im better than everyone else and im american

  • Shhhhhh! Its not safe for us to say that over the internet anymore.

  • true.

  • you know thats why japanese people like you guys.

japanese people like to follow the leadership of superpower of the world.

  • Japanese maglev is obviously running TOP of the world.

    Dont be jealous. lol

  • Japan is obviously better than Amerika.

Top running high-tech cool nation is Japan.

  • To gajaroma,

    Are you japanese?

The letters of "ameriKa" remind me that you're a japanese.

  • Doesnt change the fact that japan is better than america.

  • my profile says something eouropean country or African country but I dont care. I am actually Japanese. so regeard me as a Japanese. Yes, I live in Tokyo, I grew up in great Tradition and Technology coutry. I call it 2T. I don evaluate Technology so much though.. Japan is, no dought, running TOP of the world, as Carpenters sang.

  • To gajaroma,

Your comment is so arrogant and boring.

Every country has its great tradition, although I hate it.

  • you can speak in your mother language. I can't understand your Japanese.

  • LEARN JAPANESE.

  • wow, I have noidea what that means...

  • The Japanese crack me up...you see that dude in the aisle!!! He doesn't look like he wants to be there...not a happy camper. hahaha like a kid who wants off a roller coaster.

  • no, hes just a typical asian with no sense of humor or fun, they just want to work, and have "honor" for their family

  • hahahahahahahahaha!!!!

  • Oh Jesus, get an education, fool!!! It's comments like that that give Americans the bad reputation that most don't deserve...

  • Maglev trains rock. I went on the chinese maglev when i visited Shanghai in 2006. The speed is just amazing, to bad the technology is really really expensive at present.

  • I think thats just wind noise. Just needs some sound deadener.

  • Seems kinda loud inside the train though..

  • Puts the Acela to shame

  • electromagnetic train go 500 kph whaooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Yeah! I would definitly need an extra set of underwear! LMFAO!

  • This is needless for Japan. Japan is small. The Sinkansen is enough.

  • we need to fuck the petrolium out

  • this thing goes on magnetic energy, that's why they use it, for the good of theyr country enviroment,

  • It is sad how far behind the U.S. is compared to other regions of the world. Our public transportation is a joke. Why can we not put all of our resources and money into areas of civil necessity. Instead we live scared and build armies.

  • same with australia mate, we concentrate our money on ARMYS!!!!!! AND WAR!!! while these guys invest in TECHNOLOGY, which will by far crush our technology.

  • !!Whoooooosh!!!

  • Imagine going coast to coast in freaking 12 hours. With this it's possible (pacific to atlantic and visversa). The only thing they would have to fix is the amount of sound it emits, with the suction from the walls it makes it sound like a jet. But holy man 581km/h max speed! You could get from Niagara falls to Toronto in between 12 and 17 minutes!

  • It will be the best transportation device for environment.

The jet fuel of an airplane is very bad by environment.

When it goes to an airport, air is stinking and it is known well.

  • 553 km/hr for the french TGV. New record. But this is not official, the official record will be in April.

  • It absolutely amazes me; because doing that speed on normal rails running the train on wheels like a TGV is incredibly risky and brave, even if it is a specially prepared train etc. The French have real passion for the TGV.

  • Umm... We need these in America.

  • its a really smooth ride, i went on it a couple of times when visiting my grandparents

at first i thought there were only like a couple of these but then i walked into the platform area and there were dozens of them everywhere going in and out.

  • I really respect the Japanese the French and the Germans for their passion about fast trains. In the '50s I went on what was a fast train then in France and that thrilling feeling has always stayed with me. The Germans developed the Maglev. That's how China obtained it and the Japanese are amazing with their pride, precission, passion and everything else.Long live the fast train!!

  • Very interesting " mjlty", thanks for letting know that information. I am absolutely facinated by very fast trains. I was very impressed when I went on a Shinkansen 700 to Kyoto return from Tokyo April 2006 and also the Tgv Duplex from Paris to Nice in June 2006. I loved my trip to Japan and I know in time Japan will have these fantastic Maglevs running on regular routes. I hope I will come over again to Japan and travel on one. I would even enjoy a Fastech 360.

  • cattleman - Yes indeed the French achieved that speed on normal track. But the said tracks were about the only normal things they used. They used larger wheels and increased electric tension (voltage) to help achieve higher speeds. Futhermore the train set was reduced to the power units and a couple cars, not anything like the normal trainsets in use. The newly created section of track also had to have repairs done to it after the 515.3 run. So if you ask me it's apples and oranges.

  • The Japan Maglev is a fantastic achievement. One must always remember that the French made a TGV go at 515.3 kph in 1990. With normal train wheels on the normal high speed section of track, that was an incredible thing to have done.

  • Incredible!! I love really fast trains; but this is a rochet!! I would love to go on it some day. I was so impressed when I visited Japan 5 months ago.I loved the place.I went on a Shinkansen 700 and was amazed at their punctuality etc.etc.

  • I would take an extra pair of underwear! LOL

  • Amazing

  • the Chinese and the Japaniese has things that the USA wish we had.....now with Gasoline approaching $10.00 The usa might get smart and get this for US....

  • IT'S AMAZING!! japan is really te wolrd of tomorrow, they live in the future!

that was so fast! and everybody was so borring about it, like if it were normal for a train to be at 500k/h

    AMAZING

  • AWESOME!!!

  • A-co-jo-nan-te...

  • good work

  • pretty cool
