@mrvlhs Actually, the equivalent analogy is that combining two foods results in a new dish, and chefs do this all the time. A poor choice of terms, perhaps; but provided that nobody has utilized the method before, this remains quite inventive. Obviously, it is a method of playing that has been invented and not an actual instrument.

Now, what should truly be an invention is a device that safely holds the melodica to the guitar. Of course, it should likely borrow from the violin shoulder-rest.
