"Larry the Cable Guy" is an satirical act yet people still believe that this is the REAL guy. Maybe his jokes are "lowbrow" but so what, he's successful and didn't rip anyone off doing this act. If you don't like redneck jokes than don't listen to him, it's that simple.

It is possible that these quotes are the most extreme examples, but I'm not really inclined to find out if they are by watching one of his shows. All I can say for sure is that David definitely has more fans throughout the entire world whereas Larry probably has a 'more concentrated' fan base. @CdubTheSadist To you and the many others that say my statement that 99.5% of Muslims approve of terrorist attacks. I have a unique perspective on this subject. From 2005-08 I managed a Contact Center that served the Middle East. It was here in the USA , employed 2000 multi-lingual representatives. Of the 2000, about 1200 were Muslim, 600 were Christian, and 200 were Jewish and other faiths. 99% were College Grads.

I work with way more than 10 Muslims, I talk to them every day, I do not know one that cheers any terrorist attacks, I have spoken very bluntly about this to them, and one reaction I remember from a guy named Mahmud was, "Those cowards are burning in hell right now." All of them that emigrated from the Middle-East have said they love it here in America, and consider themselves Americans. I want to see where you got your "99.5%" of all Muslims cheer terrorist attacks.

David Cross is did not do his homework here. Larry the Cable Guy is a character. Not a real person. Here's extremely intelligent and that is not his real accent. Larry is the most successful comedian in many years. He is a true American patriot. He supports the US Armed Forces at a very high level. David Cross is a wimpy ass little liberal. I don't particularly care for either of the their stand-up acts, although Cross is awesome as Tobias Funke. Cross tries to take the intelligent high-road but stumbles when he laughs at Larry for using pecker-head & tries to give a witty historical response when the actual word Cross was describing was peckerwood. I figured Cross would at least know pecker head is synonymous with dickhead.

The fact that the Blue Collar Comedy tour has done so well simply speaks to the fact that are country is chock-full of easily-entertained people who enjoy base level humor.
