  • that skipping to 17 was gutsy but brilliant kyle schlumbohm did that against me the day before this and almost got me

  • @zw5101 - Yes. Full run is 115 feet with his first check mark at around 85 foot mark. Off season is truly an off season. No jumping. He snow boards in the winter months and it is a great mental break for him, but he still works on his gymnastics at the same time with aerials in snow boarding. We start him back on a conditioning program around the first of December with drills, cardio and strength. His first jumping will begin around the first of January and then slowly progressing.

  • @zw5101 - forgot to include, Jake's approach is from 115 feet with his first check mark at around 85.

  • @zw5101 - Jake jumps in the beginning of the season around 3 times a week (that includes meets) - The rest of his routine is strictly sprint workouts, ab workouts (core) and pole vault drills (plant drills, rope, rings, three step, sliding box, Bubka's, pop-ups, 3-4 lefts vaults, etc) - half way through outdoor season, he only vaults at the meets and does nothing but sprint workouts, ab workouts (core) and PV drills.

  • @rwwilliam I assume you mean from his full run? and also what about the off season? Does he vault as frequently in the off season?

  • what are these guys pole vault routines, like how many times/week do they jump and what runs they jump from?

  • It was a great day!!!!
