i wish that i never gave up drama, i saw a performance by the drama class in my school (that i could have been part of if i kept it up) and i literally cried because the person who had the lead role was soo bad but was marginally better than the othersbut i took art and looked back at my old sketch books. i found an old swrirl as i was obsessed with tornadoes and whirl pools and sunsets, and then i got an a* (99%) and it was put in a gallery in london for an exibiht about young tallent.

and i also don't think it's too late for you to take up painting and drawing again! it's not like you're a middle aged man regretting something you did like 30 years ago, you probably still have more talent than you think. i challenge you in 2012 to take up at least painting again... try to remember why you loved it so much in the first place. maybe draw some anime or something (hint, hint... totoro:). personally i think you should finish that self portrait cuz i love it. well good luck :)

first, i love your accent, even though you probably dont think you have one :) and second, this kind of motivated me to keep going in piano... my piano teacher was recently diagnosed with dementia so i had to stop lessons a few months ago (i'm a senior in high school), and i've touched the piano once since then. i've been taking lessons since i was in 3rd grade and i know that i had talent, but lately i've just told myself that i've been "too busy" to play. so thank you, joey.
