Will - thanks for this video, is there any tab available? I see the chord breakdown in the beginning but your actual fingering looks different (different places on the neck). Either way, very nice and I agree with everyone here, DVR was the best.
Thanks for helping to break this down. I used to see Van Ronk play this song many times at Greenwich Village folk cafes and it's always been one of my favorites. Such a classic. It's great you're helping to keep this sort of music alive, 'cuz this is a song (and an arrangement) that should live forever.
Many thanks for taking the time to put this together. The combination of playing and fretboard diagrams worked really well for me, I found it really clear and easy to follow: An excellent lesson. I shall be exploring your other videos for similar gems.
Nice guide.BTW:andy polon who used tu be apersonal student of Dave Van Ronk, early sixties gives away a nice tablature on this
song on his website.Check out" Andy Polon Guitar Page'"On the let meny, you find his CD,New York on six strings. You can listen to the song"Tribute to Dave van Ronk",which contains "come back baby".You may view the great tablature as well. On YouTube you can check out ADpolon. He performs two of his own songs live somewhere in New York,1992.Recomended.
sang even better--last saw him on bleecker in the late eighties or early nineties--double breasted sport coat, glass of wine, got up and sang like no one else.

One of my favorite Van Ronk tunes. I was priviledged to see him perform several times. He picked as cleanly live as he did on his recordings.
