@canofcrass they dont have a shall issue in Cali they are very restrictive on who gets CC permits so CC is not really an option for most people in Cali, and in Wisconsin CC is illegal, and they have no permit system for it. You can type whatever you want onto the label (ie: your name and phone number, or your wifes name and number,,etc,,,) This is legal since you have not "obliterated, altered or destroyed" the serial number. The officer would need a search warrant to remove the P-touch label to view the serial number. By covering the serial number this would eliminate the extra delay caused by the officer calling in and running a check on your handgun
