  • thank you so much for sharing. informative video!

  • 5/5 stars. watch the office. see jan.

    the vid helped,thnks

  • Great Video!! I found it interesting that YC requires a candle topper to help eliminate soot, while burning an alternative clean-burning candle requires nothing extra! Are YC candles made in the USA?

  • The Illuma-lid he showed is great for burning your candles evenly. I've always had a problem with that but thankfully Yankee Candle came up with a cure for me! I own everything YC, they're just wonderful! I even use the Illuma-lids on my smaller jars. Works great!

When your candle burns down to far to light it, just stick it on a warmer!

Votives never give off enough scent for me. I cut them to fit inside my empty 3.7oz jars and put the jar on a warmer in my bathroom. YUM!

  • Thanks so much for the helpful tips! They are great! It's smart to use the warmer once the candle has burned down very low. Thanks again! -- Meghan

  • I hat it when you smell a fragrance, and it's too strong you end up tasting it.. Gross!

  • i am obsessed wth candles no joke like WOW ubsession but im only 13 and my mom (grrr) wont let me burn candles in my room=[ so i have to use warmers=[

  • A candle displayed in a standing position can be smelled at its base, on the bottom, to get a better idea of its true fragrance. Of course, if it comes from a mixed bin, where they've all just been thrown in, good luck!

  • Love your videos! They have good info and you're cuteness and charm in front of the camera make them that much better!^.^

  • what happens if u get candles and they dont have lids, how do u smell it then, some candles dont come in jars, like dinner candles

  • I know. That's a problem. Those candles are just hard to smell because the scent of the candle goes out into the air instead of being trapped in the lid of a jar. My suggestion would be to see if the store has the same scent in a jar version to test it out. If not, I guess we're all back to sticking our nose in the candle to get as much of a scent as possible.

  • thanks

  • I actually work at a Yankee Candle store, and to smell pillar candles, votives, or basically anything else that does not come in a jar, you should pick them up and smell the bottom of them. This is because the candle is sitting on the fragrance in these styles of candle, so it makes it much easier to pick up on the scent when you smell the bottom of it.

  • That is a great tip. Thanks so much!

  • I like this information. Like to burn for longer periods. I always wondered why the pools were not the circumference of the candle.

A good tip may be how to distinguish between a good candle and a cheap one.

Or what kinds have the longest running scent? Fruity or flower (lavender) for example.

  • i really love ur videos!!! thank u for sharing!!!

  • Good info here, thanks
