@Xanatos1000 The Nazi's killed Jews, Africans, Roma (Gypsys), communists, socialists and anyone they thought was inferior or a threat. They did not specifically target Christians. Nazi propaganda loved Christianity and Catholicism it was a great target that made good followers. The churches in Nazi Germany preached the Jews were inferior and that Jesus hated them. The Nazi's did however target Jehovah's Witnesses.

@ChuutRiit well actually we germans (im american but mostly german) back then were actually very kind but because of the aftermath of WW1 we became gullible to anyone who would help us out (hitler did in that case) so we did what he asked without question, but when he got greedy and wanted more power, slowly but surely we began to see the corruption with him and began to try to escape his clutches but he obtained to much power so we just let it happen... hitler wasn't even german but we listened

@shredder201 Oh, I know about the time of the Weimar Republic. My comment was, however, referring to the time from 1938 (the so-called "Reichskristallnacht") onwards, where things turned really sour, especially if you happened to be a Jew..

@shredder201 The great depression started and Germany like many other countries where looking for ways out, and Hitler promised that. They chose him as their leader and he did get them out of the depression and made Germany a very prosperous state, and Germans were thankful of him. It wasn't until after the war that they realized how big and horrible the genocide was. And actually Germans after WWI felt ashamed because everyone blamed them for the war.
