I was there during that performance. They were (and still are) awesome! This is one of my favorite songs as well - their harmonies are just incredible. We just came back from seeing them perform at the Villages this past Saturday - they haven't lost their touch!! Keep calling Disney and ask to have them brought back!
Excellent performance--- Love the song and The Cowsills --- Thanks for posting ---Almost like being there when you watch their live performances-- I never get tired of great music
I agree with ShockDoc...one or two more voices might be good. Keeping it in the family, they must have a kid who could come in. No pressure doing lead vocals for the kid, just harmony. Still, if they were in my area I'd go see them as a threesome.
I'm not keen on live versions of songs, but this is just super! It sounds almost like the original, and I wouldn't of minded being in the audience that day! Everyone looks like they are having fun, especially the middle guy! He's all into the groove!!
Thank you so much for posting this terrific video! What is best is that they stay true to the original release. I have always felt this exhilerating song was one of thier best!
can these folks sing or what? didnt think they could pull this song off,but they sure did.been a fan for over 40 years and i want to marry susan!at least an autograph?
I'm a DJ for WESU FM 88.1, Middletown, CT, this is Wesleyan University's radio station. I play only songs from 1965-1972. I have played this song from the Cowsills on my show. Thoroughly enjoyed this !!!
I honestly would give just about anything to see these folks live and in person. I love the family harmony. These 3 have been through so much and they are as good as ever. They really need to put out a greatest hits and then more new stuff like this. your right Susan is cool, she always has been. The two brothers are dynamite !! Guys if you come to North Carolina, I will be there !!
All three of you guys are superstars in my eyes. God we need these songs today, to make the world love one another. To love the sunshine. Paul I think your great, even clowning you stay right on tune. Susan and Bob, yall are outstanding. Makes me want to be a Cowsill !! Thanks Tommy in North Carolina
A true "feel good" song. I've always loved this song. It takes me back to pastel shirts, canvas sneakers and skate boards. The thing I miss most about those days is the music, that wonderful bubblegum and rainbow clouds music. Thanks so much for posting this!
This is great, gorgeous singing from Susan, Paul and Bob Cowsill. I am going to be watching this a lot...so glad this is on youtube especially since the version of 'We Can Fly' from their 1960's tv special seems to have been pulled from youtube.
Delightful! Incredible! This song came out over 40 years ago - my all-time favorite Cowsill song, BTW - and here they sound as good or better than they did back then. Amazing - and what a joyful song! I sure miss those times; this video proves that time is a relative thing; fundamentally no difference between then and now!
Wow. Really nice harmonies. They may be one of the best 60s revival bands out there now. From little Susan singing on that Newport RI ferry to adult Susan singing at Epcot, the Cowsills preserve "We Can Fly" very well !
The cowsills are coming back to western canada. Oct 24 at the Deerfoot Casino in Calgary, AB and Oct 25 at the Dakota Dunes Casino in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The Cowsills & Jay And The Americans are playing at the Palace Theatre in Marion, Ohio on Oct 4. Its a beautiful old theatre and less than one hour from Columbus.
The Cowsills are one of the best live 60s bands on tour right now. Absolutely fantastic! They are playing in New York City at BB Kings on July 28. I beleive this is the first time they are playing in NYC in 17 years.
