  • This shit spawns hate.

  • I love listening to John Piper! He always has something great to say

  • You shall not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Why is that so hard? If you are a Christian, stay with Christians. Why is so difficult for some Christians to avoid hearing the Word of God? If you don;t, you will one day be judged for it. Don't date or meet non-Christians. HellO???

  • I agree with this 100%. It doesn't really matter if people have different things in common when it comes to things like, what kind of music they listen to or what films they like, but when it is something as big and important as a Christians love for Christ and you don't have that in common? I just don't think it would work.

  • Now, imagine someone talking the way this guy does, in such a dehumanizing manner... about race. Wouldn't that be an outrage... but no, if it's because of your religion, then it's ok to hate.

  • @satori137 No one can choose to be a different race but all races and people of ethnicity can come to know the Lord who made them.

  • @Masaries1234 That is not true. Many have died without ever hearing these supposed "good" news. And still, even if we are talking about choice, it is not okay to talk about other groups of people in such dehumanizing tones.

  • There is no such a thing as a biblical truth! Just like there is no lordoftheringical truth.

To marry a non believer as a christian shows that your love for jesus is shrinking?

If that is so then I dont believe that Jesus would be a christian if he were here.

  • Tell it...

  • LOL, WHAT?! A sin to marry an unbeliever? What if in fact, by marrying an unbeliever, the chances that they (unbeliever) will stay that way decreases. Jesus knows our hearts, she doesn't love Jesus enough? He loves us even when we hate him. I was not a Christian my entire life, and I can say at some point, yes, I hated Jesus, and he still loved me at that time. I don't follow this guy's reasoning at all.

  • I know what you mean entirely. And that would be AMAZING - I know a situation where this has happened, a friend of mine went out with a non-christian and he became a christian. My Dad became a Christian by getting to know my mum (though she refused to go out with him until he made that step).

(character limit - more to follow :P)

  • (from above)

Unfortunately, it's VERY rarely the case. I know countless examples of friends, relatives and acquaintances for whom it worked the other way - that they, tragically, fell away. Some through having actively atheist partners, most simply through having agnostic, passive ones. It's so hard to stay strong in a relationship, let alone a marriage, where your partner is not pushing you forward.

    Distractions are deathly.

  • @HomesteadProvocateur If Jesus is really your everything, marrying someone who believes and acts contrary to that gives the witness that it might not be true to you. That spouse will more likely cause you to stumble and essentially forfeit your salvation (not good). What about how you raise your children? If your worldview is Christian, many decisions you come across in marriage will be effected by that . . . How can your spouse understand? Its a slippery slope . . . .

  • I have been single for 9 years because of this.

  • Do you know what a "nazi" is in the first place?

  • What a nazi.
