This is true hardcore punk! I don't mind the newer hardcore punk from the 90s through present. Earth Crisis and Anti_F;ag are good, but they don't compare to Minor Threat. Black Flag and Bad Brains just barely compare. I don't care what anybody says, Minor Threat is the greatest hardcore band ever!

I found a couple of kids with Subhuman, Dead Kennedys, Operation Ivy, and Clash shirts. But only Dead kennedys was true hardcore (plus, they're the biggest hardcore punk band in the world, even my friends know them)

That part makes me sad. I'm not joking. I actually feel like crying. WHen that part comes on, I just think of how everybody is aging and how hardcore punk has been hijacked by emos and goths and called "punk". It actually truly upsets me, nearly to tears.

i feel your pain... I definitely get chills during that part. Minor Threat's entire out of step album was VERY insightful. No lie when I say it taught me and my friends how to grow up - other kids were eagerly stepping into adulthood only to lament their lost youth later, whereas my friends and I spent every waking minute as teens acknowledging that RIGHT THEN were the 'good ol days', the salad days, and it would be over before any of us wanted it to be, so LIVE IT UP cuz we'll all miss em later

AMEN! Absolutely. Minor threat is incredible and I have their "Complete Discography" compilation. All 26 songs on there amazing and it is the jewel of my CD collection.

i don't think that he tries to act like rollins. Ian had his own hardcore punk style on stage.after all Ian believes in "alternative" witch that means: something new.Minor Threat, Black Flag and the Bad Brains were the godfathers of hardcore punk.and d.o.a. too;)

i havent even been to warped tour, but by looking at the list of bands that play there, most of them are fkin bullshit... bans like bad brains got to play warped, even some old school punk bands should promote better, real punk music to kids who come there. some bands should just reunite and go to warped and brainwash these kids and promote the existence of a new, just as good as the 80s hardcore scene
