  • Thumbs up if your PC failed seeing this video on 4k.

  • Wich ISO/exposure settings you used to take these photos? They look amazing!

  • @MatheusMK3 ISO 100 / Exposure between 1s to 2,5s

  • Hey guys I have a question.

My monitor only goes up to 1080p. So how is it that this video is a tiny bit sharper when played in 4k than 1080p? I wouldn't be able to see all the extra pixels anyway!

    thanks.

  • @drionsh A television screen from day 1 in the 1950's to today has always been made up of a mosaic of pixels. If the number of pixels in the video does not match the number of pixels in the teleivision screen, then you're only going to see some of the sharper details. The picture is lossy, it's lost a lot of it's originality because of the lack of pixels on the screen to present the video. Only if the screen itself is 4K will you be able to see the full detail...like the OLED TV's. Got money?

  • My smartphone loaded this like a normal video lol. It must of down scaled the quality because it looked like 720p.

  • amazing!

  • come on iPhone 3G you can do it...

  • Is there a 4k video camera? I want to tape my holliday and then put it back into a drawer until next year.

  • @Mr5eXLove if you got 11,000 pounds to spare the Canon c300 lol

  • Beautiful.

  • 18 seconds = 5 minutes of buffering

  • Every day I'm bufferin'

  • can i use this for a documentary im doing for school? ill give credit

  • It's not the buffering of this video that has problems. It's the processing. I had the progress bar fill up completely on my Windows 7 and play the video and it still lags and switches frames once every second. WHY ORIGINAL QUALITY!?

  • Everyday i'm Bufferin' !

  • The quality is insane :D

  • I upgraded my internet connection because of packet loss and now I can watch 4K without long buffering.

It just takes 15 seconds to buffer the entire video in Original (4K) res.

  • this resolution could be even better than real life

  • Did you use an automatic way to take photos every few seconds or something? How? And what was the time gap between each photo?

  • @SirBeany Automatic way (intervalometer). 2,5-5 seconds exposure, 0,5s-1s between each photo.

  • I watched it in 240p... like a boss.

  • @TheFilmSlasher Aww no likes yet? :(

  • Don't forget that Youtube videos are ugly ... For exemple watch a 1080p video of a game and play it at 1080p just after that you will see the difference ... Now if this is Youtbe 4k, i can't wait to see REAL 4k Oo

  • i just got my quad core all set up and decided to test it and now its not chopy but my net is too slow

  • In 240p, like a boss!

  • in 240p it looks nice too xDDD

  • omg my video driver crashed :/

  • soon it will be "1080p, we meet again"

  • So these are sequence of photos made with Nikon wright? Well so I could to that also with my 5D Mark II :)

  • @Viczey Yes you can! + cost of traveling ;)

  • @hdtimelapsenet ahaha yeah I think that wouldn't be cheap :) - Thanks for replying

  • Great! Which program do you used for this 4k time lapse?

  • for better quality send video signal to your brains xD

  • I watched this in 240p

  • Awesome....at 0:20, are these planes landing on the left side of the screen?

  • If I had a dollar for every pixel in this video... I'd have 12,746,752 dollars.

  • I downloaded and play smoothly. (HD2000 integrated vga, i3 2100t)

(but in the browser very sucks)

  • This video run very smooth on my 1st generation Intel HD Graphics. Haha!

  • @yuriespeto3 you mean in 240p as I know Intel HD Graphics LOL

  • every day im bufferin'!

  • I don't know what numbers are associated with my computer. but i let the grey bar get long and then i hit play and then the video plays, and it is nice to look at.

  • I got something closer to 4k then 1080p. my 2560x1440/1440p monitor it looks amazing.

  • omg ! for 1 second load on this video in 4k i need to wait 1 minute o.O :)

How did you make it 4K? :)

  • @dancecraze5 Due the high resolution of the pictures from Nikon D700 (4288x2848)

  • 0:47 seconds of 4k = 109.36 MB O_o

  • @Thealexbandicoot Original file have 350MB and is highly compressed. We deliver 4K footage in Quicktime PhotoJpeg Format where 10s clip is 700MB+

  • @Thealexbandicoot thats kinda small don't you think? haha

  • Watch in 1080p? hell no I got 3150x1680 going on

  • oh oh, I need faster internet

  • haha finally there is a use for my 1440p mac monitor :)

  • what is original?

  • lol 240p

  • @lukeseti

    LMAO

  • Maybe it's just me, but it looks a lot better in 1080p than it does in original. No colours battling for a pixel...

  • 240p... We don't meet again

  • 7 peoples computers melted because of this

  • There is india . i can see it.

  • Every day i'm bufferin'

  • America is best !!!

  • And watching it in original 4k on a 1024x768 screen sucks.

I get no stutter or anything, my graphics card isn't great but it plays it smoothly, makes me want to get a new screen so bad now that I know it can play 4k fine.

  • i dont get it loads fast on original and runs 100% perfect during small screen or semi wide but when i full screen it all of a sudden it gets choppy untill i turn off hardware acceleration anybody have any ideas why? got 6gb ram 3.2ghz i7 and it works perfect with any other videos but original full screen unless its off it acts up i need someone to help me with this cause its annoying.

  • i think my compaq was gonna start on fire when i put in original...no seriously it lag like shit with my FUCKIN RADEON 4250 HD SHIT

  • It's like looking through a window. Beautiful!

  • @MexicanLeaderTaco They already have 4k monitors

  • somebody make wallpapers out of this material... NOW!!!

  • insta subbed :p

  • There aren't enough pixels in the world to fit that kind of detail.

  • Wallpapers anyone?

  • American is awesome. And I'm English!

  • real men watch in 240p

  • Even just 480p it looks HD.

  • That was so nice!

  • Lol my Internet got no problems but my poor Videocard :D:D:D

  • Fantastic!!

  • OMG!!!

  • i can see my house in top right corner ^^

  • CPU usage - 15%

    GPU usage - 7%

  • Man, I'd never thought this day would come.. Well, here it goes: "We meet again 1080p O_o"

  • Is this ment to be a slideshow?

  • watch in original

  • Impressive, this is better then eyes resolution XD

  • On an iMac......at school mind you. I let it load and buffer. This thing is stuttering on me worse than a retarded parrot.

Back to the good ole Home build super PC.

  • @AndrewDeLong How old is your iMac?

  • is this color corrected or natural?

  • @rwfmade not color corrected

  • @hdtimelapsenet thats incredible color detail for those cameras i didn't realize they took such incredible shots. i thought they were 1080p though i didn't know they went up to 4k

  • @rwfmade Image sequence not video....one high resolution picture at 3 sec interval.

  • @hdtimelapsenet How long were the exposure-times?

  • @jockeleu Not the same for every shot. Max 2.5s

  • Is that inerpolated from 1920x1080?

  • @2222Rafcio NO. This is real 4K (4096x2304). Image Sequence from Nikon D700 and Canon 5D Mark II...high resolution pictures.

  • Managed to pause the video after 30-35 seconds of waiting.

  • CPU usage around 95% i guess my video card picked up the slack, Lag free. =)

  • Only 20% CPU usage. :)

  • 10fps/s

  • whats the song?

  • @gamextreme23 Our song. Doesn't have a name ;)

  • great vid

  • i just had an eye-gasm watching this on original

  • imagine the next gen consoles to have this.

  • Runs smoothly on my new Mac mini, 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6630M 256 MB.

  • WOW! =D Amazing! ^^

  • it buffers in a sec at me, but i have a bit lag when watching

  • 2 frames per sec I THINK I NEED TO UPDATE MY PC

  • as soon as the image of NY popped up i was like :O I want every movie ever like this!!!!

  • AT 4K AND FULL SCREEN ITS FUKING AWESOME!!!

  • Dude this is crazy. It's like clearer than my eyes. It hurts to look at lol.

  • easy to watch with athlon ii x4 640 @3ghz and a radeon hd 5770

  • @willeyboy2 does GPU even matter? I have same processor with a HD 4850 and watching this is a breeze.

  • @matcpn Yes, if you had say a 4770 you would possibly lag. I don't think this is as CPU demanding has GPU.

  • watching original with macbook pro 2010 13 inch :) just have to let it buffer for a min, and no lag

  • i watch 4k like a boss! cause i paid £443 for my CPU lika Boss!

  • @PhillyKid07 guess i'm cool then

  • How big was the file?

  • @technologyinffo This clip is highly compressed so doesn't matter ;) no too big.

For our clients we render in QuickTime PhotoJpeg

  • Only official cool people, like me, can watch 4k video. ;)

  • @IIIJESUSIII the company Red has cameras that can capture 4k resolution (4x bigger than regular HD video). it'll run you about 30 grand, so I don't think wal-mart will be carrying them anytime soon :P on a more serious note, although you won't be watching any movies in this resolution anytime soon, it's main purpose is for post production, where the editors can crop out portions of the video and scale them in without losing any picture quality. really amazing stuff

  • Streams brilliantly, I just have to wait for it to buffer..

  • i watched 4k like a boss

  • i have the bandwith but not the fps:}

  • @mrmp3guy well i got the fps but not the bandwith :P

  • @IIIJESUSIII DSLR Camera (Nikon D700)

  • @hdtimelapsenet it cannot record in 4k resolution tho >:(

  • @VoiBillyBob Time Lapse Photography done with D700 (original still images (4288x2848))...4K is 4096x2304.

    UNDERSTAND????

  • @xAcolz wow,fullhd on 127' must look like tetris

  • Streams perfectly on my vaio (intel i7 840Q, 8Gb DDR3, Nvidia GT425) with 120 mbit/s connection.

One thing i don't understand: why does 4k youtube footage look better than 1080p, even if my screen can only display 1080p?

  • sometimes it's not your computer, i have an 2010 iMac, and before we switched to comcast internet it took FOREVER just to download 360p. like our connection SUCKED. Now with the comcast running through our house, 4K loads like a breeze with no lagging. so don't blame your computer all the time for slow internet speeds, unless you have a 10 year old computer hha

  • 5 minutes waiting. 9 seconds loaded. FML.

  • LOL i lag with shitty core2duo @2.20 ghz with ati 4830 HD ,3 gb ram....WTF???? also my fkin cpu is about to blow :P

  • @4tun3dBACK

    my old was like yours

dual is not enough at these days :P

  • Awesome Quality but u need a Water cooled Cpu :D my i5 reached 99 C dunno why just by watchin this video twice on 4k

  • i5 2400 GTX 460 1gb 4 gb ddr 3 1600 mhz ...and this video runs perfectly to me !

  • @sseennoonn I got i7 - 3,40 Ghz and 4 cores (2600 or 2600K) GTX 460 (2 GB and 1600 Mhz), I also got 8 GB of ddr3 RAM.

    That's like double your settings..

  • i cant take the epicness of original ....but 1080p works just as godd and no lags :D

  • no lags at all..looks AMAZING

  • My internet only ever allows me to view in 720p without lag :(

  • I'm lagging with nvidia 9600gt and Pentium D Dual core at 2.8ghz. I don't mean to spam but i have a video of me running crysis on high settings on my PC but I can't watch this video haha!

  • spectacular

  • I am honestly amazed at the detail and quality 4K footage has on youtube with the "original" button. I really can't believe how unbelievably good it looks.

  • 16gb 2133mhz ram, i7 @ 4.5ghz, no lag at original resolution. damn for a minute i thought i might have to upgrade. trollface.jpg

  • @JamieandhisIbanez even on my 1055T is runs with no lag ^^ so i think you don't have to upgrade anithing^^

  • 4GB ram, 1gb graphics, i5 processor @ 2.3Ghz, 9mbps connection and no lag at original resolution

  • @mygaffer And i can't wait to get 2560x1600 resolution LCD!! xD

  • No lag. Gorgeous.

  • i watched this on 240p

  • This makes me remember the times with 54K internet speeds...

  • I can watch this video in 1080p without lag but on original it lags

  • PROTIP: TV's are capable of much more than we can buy and have been for years, they have to long each technological advancment out to make as much profit as possible from each step up.

  • cool, 1080p sucks lol

  • i dont usually like raping my internet connection but when i do i prefer 4K

  • @C815richard it took me 50 seconds to load a 47 sec vid, I wonder whats gonna happen when 4k starts hitting the torrents :)

  • tiny lag here AMAZING quality
