@poodlestyle33. The show has improved over the past few seasons. More dramatic things happened in the Boiling Point (Jenna getting pregnant, Fiona getting abused by her boyfriend, Adam being a transgender, the Eli/Fitz fued, and there was a LOT of cheating this season, etc.). The only other stuff that happened the last two seasons was the shooting at the Dot and the episode Jane Says. Sure, I would have loved to see Eli get stabbed (not die though). The Fall will be a new thing for Degrassi.
@MRCrashFusion I wasn't referring to thet last few seasons, those weren't any good as well. I was talking about the old seasons when the show was actually good. This last season was better than the last FEW in most episodes but the ending ruined it all for me. All the cheating was stupid as well, they keep breaking up every couple. We've already had what, 3 pregnancies? There were about 2 storylines that were good but the writers ruined even that.
@poodlestyle33. Yes the show was great before, but people complain about the old characters being gone. What, do you expect them to show them being in college or having a job? They already did that with Emma, Liberty and Manny and it was boring! I wish they would have another dramatic school shooting, that would be great. Manny has been pregnant, Jenna is pregnant, and Liberty was also pregnant. But it's still dramatic. and KC isn't going to be involved. The Next season looks interesting...
@MRCrashFusion It's not about the old characters being gone, at least not to me. I quite like the characters they have now and they always choose good actors. It's the writers that aren't doing any good. It's so boring now, whereas the old ones were always interesting. Another shooting? That would be interesting, but this time make it a real school shooting and not just one guy gets shot. I don't mean kill everyone, just make it much more dramatic. Would be interesting.
@poodlestyle33. Ugh, no. That would be awful, in my opinion. The show is about Degrassi, not people who used to go to Degrassi. They just need to get out the useless characters (Shantay, Leia), keep the useful ones (Claire, Eli, Adam, Holly J, etc.) and make it WAY more dramatic. Eli should have been stabbed and Alli should have been raped (or somewhat anyway), but you can't deny that the Boiling Point wasn't a succsessful season at all, it had high ratings.

Getting rid of a couple of characters won't do much, the writers need to get off their butts (Or in this case, get on them I suppose.) and start writing like they used to. Anyway, I was highly bored throughout the season save a couple of moments. I doubt it will ever get much better sadly. Oh well, back to rewatching the good ol' seasons for me.
@poodlestyle33. Because, I just have no interest in seeing Emma in college again, frankly it was annoying in my opinion. It had no point. There were parts of the season I was bored, such as the parts with Anya faking a pregnancy to get Sav votes, well the whole Sav-Holly J. election was quite boring. But my favorite parts were probably the Adam episodes, the Jenna episodes and the Eli-Claire-Fitz episodes. Next season will be something COMPLETELY new for Degrassi, judging by the Fall promo.
@MRCrashFusion I agree that those episodes were the best, but I didn't even like the wole episodes, just those storylines in them. Adam's story has been the best in my opinion, whenever the story was about him it was almost as good as old times. But that's about it. The rest was boring and useless.
Well, like I said about the college thing, the writers would have to actually work and make it good for it to work, but I think it could.

@poodlestyle33. Yeah, Adam was one of my favorite storylines. They never had a transgender person on the show before (I know, the actress isn't transgender, I'm talking about the character) so it was something new. I think, if they made a SEPERATE show about past Degrassi characters being in college or whatever they are doing, it would be ok but not replace Degrassi with it. From the preview, it looks like every character is changing in some way, I'm sure they will pull through.
@MRCrashFusion Yeah, Adam's story is cool, most shows don't have transgender characters at all. And Jordon Todosey plays Adam really well, I liked her on Life With Derek as well. I didn't mean for the college one to replace the current show, definitely two different ones. People who grew up watching Degrassi would probably love it if was done well.
Change isn't always good, it will probably end up really lame again.
@poodlestyle33. Yeah she is a really good actress and played the character very well. But actually, the next part of Season 10 is called the Breaking Point. Season 10 isn't over yet. So, the first half was the Boiling Point and the second half is the Breaking Point. I'm guessing the Boiling Point was just warming us up for the Breaking Point., and I think the person leaving Degrassi is Alli.
@MRCrashFusion Still, it was a pretty bad warm up in my opinion. I don't really have any hope left for the show, but I'll probably still watch it, just in case.

They are completely changing the school, making it have way more security, they check your bags when you walk in and theres a new dress code. This has never happened before. I think Alli tells her parents what she did with Johnny and they send her to a private school or they home school her. Or it could be Adam, because her Mom is crazy and obsessive. Oh well, I think it will be good.

Frankly, I liked Spinner and Jane together. I feel the whole Spinner/Emma thing was rushed and I don't remember them talking much in the older episodes so I don't understand why they did it. But it was shocking, I guess that's what they were shooting for.

But you know, I suppose they are two of the most popular characters, they might want their kids to star in the next Degrassi show, aha.
@poodlestyle33. Yeah, I liked the episode Danger Zone in season 8, where Holly J and Spinner were at the dot with the gun and everything. That's when she revealed her true feelings. One of the few good episodes in seasons 8 and 9. I wouldn't put it past Spinner to cheat on his marriage with Emma on Holly J. And yes, Spike got pregnant in Degrassi Junior High and had Emma. Now that I think about it, Jenna's baby could become the new focus of the series a long time from now.
@MRCrashFusion I agree, that was actually a good episode. Jenna's baby? I hope not, I don't like Jenna, but that's a possibility. I still think it will be Emma's kid someday just because that would continue their story but who knows?
@poodlestyle33. I'm ok with Jenna. But she's the only one in the entire series so far who is actually going to keep her baby. Manny had an abortion and Liberty put her's up for adoption. So it does seem likely that this baby will be something important in the future. But everyone's been saying that Clare is like the new Emma. In the intro she has a weird movement with her tongue just like Emma did in the old intros. And Clare's personality is finally showing.
@poodlestyle33. Well their personalities are different but they both have the sense that they are the main character. I think of Clare as the new Emma but not because they have similar personalities but they have similar roles. Mia was automatically a teen mom when she came into the story, it didn't show her go through pregnancy. This would be the first person to be shown going through a pregnancy and having the baby and raising it unless Jenna decides to go with adoption or she loses the baby.
@MRCrashFusion I don't really think of Clare as the main character, I don't really think of anyone as a main character right now. Yeah, but still they did have a teen mom already. I'm thinking she might lose the baby because they haven't had that yet since they've had everything else, even if it didn't show her through the pregnancy.

One of her first episodes was when Darcy had that interent stalker and Clare called 911. I think they should either have Jenna go through with the pregnancy and keep the baby or have a miscarriage since no one has had that yet.

Fucking Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers have nothing to do with the beautiful movies like Beauty and the Beast, which teaches acceptance, or Princess and the Frog, which teachs hard work. As much as I love Degrassi, all it 'teaches' is OMG DRAMA IS FUN TO WATCH.

@MomoTheStrange Sorry, but it is responsible for that horrible channel and its equally horrible shows. They used to be classic and respectable, but now they've become a money-hungry company. Oh, so what, they only come out with one or two good movies now? That doesn't excuse the fact that they are handling a shitty channel. Also, typing in all caps doesn't help emphasize anything - it only makes you look like a dumbass. As for Degrassi, it explores real teen issues. Once again, get over it.

Wtf I dont know why everyone hated this season so much. I thouqht it was pretty qood. I hated the show with Mia and all them. I quess I love Spinner& Emma toqether because they were my fave characters. But yea kinda rushy. Im REALLY lookinq forward to the rest of season 10 of course it wont be as qood as the old Deqrassi with Emma, Marco, Ellie, JT, etc.

I really dont like the idea of Holly J and sav together, it is so stupid. I dont know why degrassi did that. I think she's better with declan, but I understand why her mom said what she said. Im so glad Eli didnt get stabbed I was scared out of my mind, but Fitz doing all tht just so Eli wud shut-up and stop causing more problems was a pretty good lesson for Eli(I think it was) Then poor Ali cant believe Drew cheated on her with Bianca! Damn those last 2 episodes where all insane.
I still like the old ones better but these ones are still cool.

The last episode last night was INSANE! I was so freaked out. I wish Fitz and Eli were cool with each other so he didn't have to go to the Night In Vegas thing with Clare. Im so glad Fitz got arrested. I hate him. Lucky Eli, he didn't get stabbed. Stupid Fitz stabbed the locker. :) YAY! HE'S OKAY! Can't wait for the new Degrassi in Fall.

More dramatic things happened in the Boiling Point (Jenna getting pregnant, Fiona getting abused by her boyfriend, Adam being a transgender, the Eli/Fitz fued, and there was a LOT of cheating this season, etc.). The only other stuff that happened the last two seasons was the shooting at the Dot and the episode Jane Says. Sure, I would have loved to see Eli get stabbed (not die though). The Fall will be a new thing for Degrassi.

@MRCrashFusion I wasn't referring to thet last few seasons, those weren't any good as well. I was talking about the old seasons when the show was actually good. This last season was better than the last FEW in most episodes but the ending ruined it all for me. All the cheating was stupid as well, they keep breaking up every couple. We've already had what, 3 pregnancies? There were about 2 storylines that were good but the writers ruined even that.

They already did that with Emma, Liberty and Manny and it was boring! I wish they would have another dramatic school shooting, that would be great. Manny has been pregnant, Jenna is pregnant, and Liberty was also pregnant. But it's still dramatic. and KC isn't going to be involved. The Next season looks interesting...

It's the writers that aren't doing any good. It's so boring now, whereas the old ones were always interesting. Another shooting? That would be interesting, but this time make it a real school shooting and not just one guy gets shot. I don't mean kill everyone, just make it much more dramatic. Would be interesting.

@poodlestyle33. Ugh, no. That would be awful, in my opinion. The show is about Degrassi, not people who used to go to Degrassi. They just need to get out the useless characters (Shantay, Leia), keep the useful ones (Claire, Eli, Adam, Holly J, etc.) and make it WAY more dramatic. Eli should have been stabbed and Alli should have been raped (or somewhat anyway), but you can't deny that the Boiling Point wasn't a succsessful season at all, it had high ratings.

Getting rid of a couple of characters won't do much, the writers need to get off their butts (Or in this case, get on them I suppose.) and start writing like they used to. Anyway, I was highly bored throughout the season save a couple of moments. I doubt it will ever get much better sadly. Oh well, back to rewatching the good ol' seasons for me.

@poodlestyle33. Because, I just have no interest in seeing Emma in college again, frankly it was annoying in my opinion. It had no point. There were parts of the season I was bored, such as the parts with Anya faking a pregnancy to get Sav votes, well the whole Sav-Holly J. election was quite boring. But my favorite parts were probably the Adam episodes, the Jenna episodes and the Eli-Claire-Fitz episodes. Next season will be something COMPLETELY new for Degrassi, judging by the Fall promo.

@MRCrashFusion I agree that those episodes were the best, but I didn't even like the wole episodes, just those storylines in them. Adam's story has been the best in my opinion, whenever the story was about him it was almost as good as old times. But that's about it. The rest was boring and useless.
Well, like I said about the college thing, the writers would have to actually work and make it good for it to work, but I think it could.

They never had a transgender person on the show before (I know, the actress isn't transgender, I'm talking about the character) so it was something new. I think, if they made a SEPERATE show about past Degrassi characters being in college or whatever they are doing, it would be ok but not replace Degrassi with it. From the preview, it looks like every character is changing in some way, I'm sure they will pull through.

@MRCrashFusion Yeah, Adam's story is cool, most shows don't have transgender characters at all. And Jordon Todosey plays Adam really well, I liked her on Life With Derek as well. I didn't mean for the college one to replace the current show, definitely two different ones. People who grew up watching Degrassi would probably love it if was done well.
Change isn't always good, it will probably end up really lame again.

So, the first half was the Boiling Point and the second half is the Breaking Point. I'm guessing the Boiling Point was just warming us up for the Breaking Point., and I think the person leaving Degrassi is Alli.

They are completely changing the school, making it have way more security, they check your bags when you walk in and theres a new dress code. This has never happened before. I think Alli tells her parents what she did with Johnny and they send her to a private school or they home school her. Or it could be Adam, because her Mom is crazy and obsessive. Oh well, I think it will be good.

Frankly, I liked Spinner and Jane together. I feel the whole Spinner/Emma thing was rushed and I don't remember them talking much in the older episodes so I don't understand why they did it. But it was shocking, I guess that's what they were shooting for.

@poodlestyle33. Yeah, I liked the episode Danger Zone in season 8, where Holly J and Spinner were at the dot with the gun and everything. That's when she revealed her true feelings. One of the few good episodes in seasons 8 and 9. I wouldn't put it past Spinner to cheat on his marriage with Emma on Holly J. And yes, Spike got pregnant in Degrassi Junior High and had Emma. Now that I think about it, Jenna's baby could become the new focus of the series a long time from now.

So it does seem likely that this baby will be something important in the future. But everyone's been saying that Clare is like the new Emma. In the intro she has a weird movement with her tongue just like Emma did in the old intros. And Clare's personality is finally showing.

I think of Clare as the new Emma but not because they have similar personalities but they have similar roles. Mia was automatically a teen mom when she came into the story, it didn't show her go through pregnancy. This would be the first person to be shown going through a pregnancy and having the baby and raising it unless Jenna decides to go with adoption or she loses the baby.

One of her first episodes was when Darcy had that interent stalker and Clare called 911. I think they should either have Jenna go through with the pregnancy and keep the baby or have a miscarriage since no one has had that yet.

@sweeetnaturegirl well, they're still not done with this season. season 10 has actually 45 episodes, and they only showed 24 of them so far. but i bet they will because there getting the highest ratings the shows ever had before.
