But... the "Empire" is based off of the "Holy Roman Empire"... and the Holy Roman Empire was christian. So it goes without saying that he based around Christianity warriors, such as crusaders. they should have stayed in that formation, sticking to the defensive circle with 2 spears per enemy that way as they could have lasted far longer . breaking up into individuals was just foolish and make them easy targets for the opponents.
