Cora-Thank you! Thank you! I really wanted to know what others were eating the first few weeks. I found you through an aquaintance of mine, Daniel, & I'm so glad I did. I'm 19 days post-surgery. The surgery itself was a breeze & eating is easy, but drinking so much is hard! My husband wants to go out to eat all the time, although he manages to order me a hard boiled egg wherever we go. lol What was the journey like for your Dad? I'm 52 and have heard it's much more difficult for my generation.
You are gorgeous inside and out! My mom was released from surgery last monday. I have spent a lot of time online looking at forums and recipes and things. You are AWESOME! I love that you filming everything for the experience! Speaking for you and everyone, THANK YOU!
I had my sugery two months ago, but now I need to learn to eat healthy, the amount its ok, I am not hungry at all, but mostly food I eat make me go to the bathroom a lot.
it is different for everyone..the best way to describe how you eat it, basically just for survival so you dont pass out. Me personally I am never hungry..and when I do feel like I can eat its about four bites and I am done. I also don't measure my food..I will be doing a video about exactly what my diet is now..but you should take in foos three times a day but as far as the ounces it really all depends on your pouch..some can take in a bit and some can barley take in any..Im in between.
I agree on the chew! I threw up twice b/c I didn't chew well enough...but I learned :). Glad your pouch is very tolerable...Hopefully mine will get there after a couple of months! Thanks for sharing!
Tune doesn't sit well in my pouch either. My doctor told me it's because I SQUEEZE all the water out, and I should leave some, but, I wasn't a fan of tuna before surgey, so I havnt tried again. BTW, your eyes are gorgeous!
you just say when it would be a pleasure..lol Thank you for such a nice compliment, you sweet..
well I nervous to try it I use maybe half a teaspoon and a whole teaspoon of it had 2g of sugar..I use to Love Balsamic Vinger, but it just doesnt taste the same. I literally had one bite and was like Nope not for me..lol
Ok, can you please come to MA and do my makeup for me? Pretty please? And by the way, you have THE. MOST. GORGEOUS. EYES! I've had a super-tolerant pouch ever....no problems at all. And be careful with the balsamic vinegar - super sugary! :)
allison..i hope you are doing well..I am so happy everything went well..i tried messaging you a few times but i never got a response back..so i hope you got them and if not..i just wanna give you continued best wishes and congradulation!! i am so happy for you!
Your face looks so much thinner than a month ago -- amazing! I enjoy hearing all about the foods you are eating, and am living vicariously through you, lol!
I feel the same way...I don't want to be the oddball in the room...I tell everyone I've had the surgery ,but I want to live as normal of a life as possible...
Sounds like you're doing well...It's great to see you again :)
