Making them act like this is only encouraging the behavior & holding them & laughing while they're doing it is telling them the behavior is OK. I have six Chihuahuas and NONE of them act like that or are protective when sitting in anyones lap. They may be a little leary of strangers but they're more apt to run away than to bite/growl at anyone. This is how Chi's get their bad rep.... :o(

Though the biting may be considered cute to us, if this dog is taken around other (bigger) dogs there's a high possibility of a fight happening. And guess who would win?
