Not the opening song,but the female that sings,it sounds like the same in the Saiyuki Reload Episode 5 Part 1 at around 4:36,when *spoiler* lady brings up and seals sanzo and the others painfully memory,i wondered if that was a song itself? or is it only in that episode? (But thank you anyway for the answear ^.^)

Season 2. Season 1 is Gensomaden Saiyuki, and season 3 is Saiyuki Reload Gunlock.

Saiyuki is nothing like DBZ. Beside names, they are completly different and have a different feel for each. i've only watched a couple eps and i know that much.

I remember my massive fandom for this manga/anime. What I like about this anime is that it's not overly famous and overrated like some and the storyline is unique. I have all the episodes from the original OVA (before Kibou no Zaika) to Burial. Aw, I miss this.

I watched Saiyuki since the first season, and honestly I don't see any resemblance to Dragon Ball Z, I mean sure the names are alike and based off the same story, but they looked at it through a whole different perspective.

It's the different time lines that they came out. Saiyuki came out around the same time Dragon Ball Z got popular. No one paid attention to the Saiyuki series because it was considered a "wannabe" because it was made from the same Chinese Lore as Dragon Ball. So, when the Dragon Ball series died out, Saiyuki Reload came and was the first Saiyuki experience that many lovers of Dragon Ball came into contact with. So everyone was in love with Reload and the original died.

@Xlyaria: It's too bad people fell in love with reload than the original. I like the original much better. I also don't like that they changed the voices when they did reload after saiyuki. :(
