Beautiful... I love this era and Love Metal era, The last album Screamworks is not bad, but my opinion is that this kind of singing fits Ville better than this kind of crooning and screaming he has been showing recently. I belive he would still be able to perform like this, with deeper and more tranquile and smoother voice, which has always been (for me) one of the biggest reasons why to listen to this band...

@MoonBeam3100 ...I think Ville needs to be what he says he is, "the romantic crooner," "sentimental bastard," and stop trying to downplay his looks, and scream through songs, like when he sang Pete Steele's part (Type O Negative.) and got booed.

He is not hardcore, and so what? He keeps trying to be something else, and he's not making anyone happy. The hardcore guys hate him and HIM, and he's losing the girls who worship him, by turning his back on this kind of music. (I'm from the US)

@babzville303 I don't think he ever tries to "be something else". It's like, people change. It's only right for their music to change, too. I love this period of their career, but I also love what they did before 2001 and what theri doing now. I think you can still hear the "mood" in HIM songs, just that it's not as "dark" in Screamworks. But just think of Venus Doom... I think it all depends on what the band feels like playing. It's good for them to be "free" to do so.

I think the screaming he does lately is his attempt to be more tough or hard. Someone said the way he dresses now, is like someone you hire to move your furniture!

I like to think Ville is a romantic at heart....like this video.
