@childnme It's possible that he has never entered the regional competitions that lead to UTA (Graceland). Some ETA's compete all the time, others avoid that circuit. Winning it however, does increase visibility, bookings, and price...but I imagine some ETAs are content with the work they have or frown upon competitions.

Yes, I would agree winning the Graceland competition would increase the person's popularity but, I don't see why this guy would need that. I'm still astonished at how good he is.
@n8trsho I own a radio station and I took a CD with a couple of songs Doug recorded to one of my DJs to listen to on expensive audio equipment that picked up every aspect of Doug's voice. The songs were written after Elvis' death. This disc jockey (who believes Elvis is still living) got so excited because he actually thought it was Elvis and he was even more convinced Elvis is still alive.
I saw Elvis a few times when he was alive and went to Graceland when he was living. I've NEVER heard anyone that has the exact tone and head voice that Elvis had until I heard this guy. He's really amazing.
Side note: I'm not ancient. I was a kid when I was around Elvis. My Dad was good friends with J.D. Sumner, his back up singer.
