Some other great pianists from Odessa: Simon Barere, Wassily Sapellnikoff, Vladimir de Pachmann. Is that really Grinberg in Beethoven's opus 110? Maybe it was very dry weather then in Odessa?

The great violinists, including Mischa Elman, David Oistrakh, Nathan Milstein, were from Odessa as well. And all of them are Jewish.
