This is not an EPA noise compliant exhaust. Do you ever get in trouble? The exhaust that I want to get is also not EPA noise compliant, so I am wondering if it is a big deal or not.
@wuzup76020 hey i just picked up a 08 gsxr 600 so then a 06 07 header is all the same everything bolt back up right and line up, i dont wana cut cause it dont look like it leaves barely an inch left for the slip on pipe, and does the can have a mount back by the rear set or only hang on by the header, just tryin to figure this out
@mariodelgado0607 Go for it! Had a co-worker with an 04 750, yosh rs3 slip-on and it sounded good. Not too loud nor too quiet, except he didn't have a pc3.

@Trinity73160 Your welcome. Well they say it is because it can damage the piston rings and valves. But if you were to get it dyno tuned your map will be more accurate and it might get rid of the pooping. The maps from dynojet are just a base line for those specific exhaust systems and some bikes are different regardless of the make and model they assign them to. Just my opinion.
I would like to know if yours make a popping sound? I have a gixxer 600 09 and I have a yoshir55 slup on and a power commander 5 and everytime im on a high rpm and I left off the gas it makes popping sound from my pipe I got it map to my exhaust but I dont know y still make that popping sound
@Trinity73160 Mine pops in this vid, but my part two it does not. In part two I had it tuned at a shop. Did you download the map from dynojet or had it tuned at a shop? The other thing is that it could be because it is a shorty pipe. I heard that shorty pipes have the popping sound even when it is tuned. I'm not 100% about this theory though.
@marinorules678 A slip-on for our bikes... not really. If you get rid of the cat and make mods then maybe. You can try Factory Pro, I heard they can remap the stock ECU. About the same price for a PC3.

Yes u can start on a 600cc for ur first bike, just take ur msf course and practice in parking lots and ur fine. If ur head is screwed on right u will be fine. And u will grow out of a 250 in a month i gurantee it, and that would be a waste of money.

@ViruzPvP I think you can map it to where it uses more or less fuel, you just have to change the map every time from a laptop. ie a map for racing and a map for commuting. Thanks for the comment! :)

@666alireza nah I dont think so. Thats cool dynojet has that option now. From what ive read, it seems to be more accurate when it comes to mapping your bike. Because it is being mapped in natural environment (all of the elements). At the dyno shop, it is mapped in one kind of environment (some elements). i.e. when they are tuning your bike, current temp. is 76 outside and your map is based on that temp. So what if the temp is 90 outside, would the map need adjustments?? This is just my analogy.
@666alireza cool!! If you have the slip-on made for the 08-10 then maybe not that much. The cat and the valve on the mid-pipe will restrict the exhaust flow. Probably best to go full system. But to make sure, you'll need to go on a dyno.
@coxy248 If its your first time riding a motorcycle I wouldn't recommend it. I'm 17, I drove an old gsxr400 and its got plenty of power, a 600 its not a beginners bike. If you are a beginner, you should start with a Kawasaki Ninja 250r, its a very nice sport bike and its cheaper to.

hi was just wondering, after installing the power commander does it affect the factory ecu modes eg. the A,B,C maps you can choose with the controls on the right handlebar? do these still work or are they now redundent?

I have an '08 and plan on doing the cat-hack with an '06-'07 Akra shorty slip-on. My question is - what map did you use for the PC? I don't see a map for the '08 or the '06-'07 using a slip-on. The only map I saw for a Yosh slip-on was for the R-77.

@OrlandoPlaya thanks for the comment bro! Yeah it is a slip-on,but theres two thing though, the slip-on is for a 06-07 gsxr and I had to cut the cat off and have a pipe welded on the headers. The only difference between the 07 and 08 is that the cat on the 07 can be removed without cutting it. Its kind of complicated, may I suggest getting a full system. I just got one and I will be posting it soon. They sound the same and the full looks more cleaner.

Lol...Thanks dude. I also heard mix reactions too, but on the dyno I gained 8hp and 1.5 fp torq. But I also heard that there are some bike shops that can hack into the stock ecu and tune it from there which will save you about $300 for the pc3.
No I just had the cat cut off and had a pipe welded on so that the slip-on can have something to hold on. My setup resembles the k6,k7 headers, which the slip-on is for.
is it required to get a power commander if you get a slip on ? I had an accident and wouldn't mind getting a new slip on but if I need a power commander it's probably not worth the money to me.
I dont think you really need a power commander for a slip-on depending on if you have a cat or not. If you do have a cat and putting the slip-on eliminates it then you probably need one. But 'I heard you can remap your stock ecu at a bike shop without having a power commander, they can hack into your stock ecu and depending on the place they might charge as much as $300-$400 same price as if you were to have a power commander.
Hey Joe=question-how did you get the PC to stand upright in the tail section? I just installed mine on my 2k8 750. I've got akra slip on w/BMC filter-wow-couldn't believe the difference in throtle response and accleration. Love the yoshi pipe.
I think they would have to special order it. Some stores do carry it but most of the time they would only have it if the demand were a lot and also depending on the location.

A.) cut his existing headers next to the weld at the cat and purchased an 06/07 trc slip on
or
B.) bot 06/07 headers for 30$ on craigslist and then the 06/07 trc slip on.
The TRC as well as the R55 for the 06/07 comes with a mid pan belly muffler and a 360 pipe.
I have this same setup with a PCV and an autotune and i love it...power everywhere.

I want to see how it sounds like. The headlights I have on this vid are just regular bulbs, stock low beams and yellow high beams. I currently have HID Low beams, but it just started to have problems.

hi was just wondering, after installing the power commander does it affect the factory ecu modes eg. the A,B,C maps you can choose with the controls on the right handlebar? do these still work or are they now redundent?

@GrantD27 Thanks!! I dont know for sure if it does. I did try using mode B and C once and it felt like it functioned the way it was made, but i dont know if it will mess anything up.

I have an '08 and plan on doing the cat-hack with an '06-'07 Akra shorty slip-on. My question is - what map did you use for the PC? I don't see a map for the '08 or the '06-'07 using a slip-on. The only map I saw for a Yosh slip-on was for the R-77.

I had it tuned at a dyno shop. You can probably use those maps but some people may say its not accurate. But it totally depends on you.

I noticed that you removed the CAT so if I do the same thing with mine + a power commander , I would get the same result of your awesome sound? Because I still got the stock exhaust and it looks like a big fat fuckin cigar..! By the way , Nice bike !

@OrlandoPlaya thanks for the comment bro! Yeah it is a slip-on,but theres two thing though, the slip-on is for a 06-07 gsxr and I had to cut the cat off and have a pipe welded on the headers. The only difference between the 07 and 08 is that the cat on the 07 can be removed without cutting it. Its kind of complicated, may I suggest getting a full system. I just got one and I will be posting it soon. They sound the same and the full looks more cleaner.

Lol...Thanks dude. I also heard mix reactions too, but on the dyno I gained 8hp and 1.5 fp torq. But I also heard that there are some bike shops that can hack into the stock ecu and tune it from there which will save you about $300 for the pc3.

Do you have a k8 or k9? It shouldn't be that hard to install unless you have a k8 k9. Because my setup is totally different.

No I just had the cat cut off and had a pipe welded on so that the slip-on can have something to hold on. My setup resembles the k6,k7 headers, which the slip-on is for.

No I had it cut off. The reason is, it restricts the sound when you put a slip-on exhaust.

is it required to get a power commander if you get a slip on ? I had an accident and wouldn't mind getting a new slip on but if I need a power commander it's probably not worth the money to me.

I dont think you really need a power commander for a slip-on depending on if you have a cat or not. If you do have a cat and putting the slip-on eliminates it then you probably need one. But 'I heard you can remap your stock ecu at a bike shop without having a power commander, they can hack into your stock ecu and depending on the place they might charge as much as $300-$400 same price as if you were to have a power commander.

Hey Joe=question-how did you get the PC to stand upright in the tail section? I just installed mine on my 2k8 750. I've got akra slip on w/BMC filter-wow-couldn't believe the difference in throtle response and accleration. Love the yoshi pipe.
