yelp doesn't post positive reviews at all after a negative one. many of us tried to post positive reviews on yelp for a business that got slandered by some poster that didn't even have her pic posted (a rule they say they follow in order to get a review posted) and none of our positive reviews show up - only when we log in to our own accounts, even though we followed all the rules by having more than one review of a company, posting a profile pic, etc it's too easy for fake reviews, esp negative
I don't think any of these measures will work against a malicious competitor posing as a customer. What if the malicious bastard keeps clicking on the nasty fake review and says "yes" that fake review was helpful.

@TheJeepGeneral It is, you remove them by overwhelming them and replying to them which in turn converts it to a positive

The review sites wont help you on this. Most people these days just use yeqqo(dot)com or prominentprofile(dot)com to get it sorted, much easier.

Yes, some abuse is going to happen; however Google minimizes that by identify that the same user is repetitively clicking.

"we recommend working with your colleagues to minimize future similar reviews by any means possible"
Problem is that bad reviews are often written by competitors and it's very bad... We can only thank Google for putting companies out of business.
