  • good channel, and music, I invite you to listen to my music

  • Hey.... how you fade the hi-hat in at 2:50? thx

(iam actually searchin for a setup for composing. A simple beatmachine for play along with bass or guitar, record it directly. I´am watching also at the MFB 522? Can you give me an adivce because I am really new in the sythie-thing... would be great....THX!)

  • thanks for the demo! we all love to mess with the original sound thats one of the many reasons why are into hands -on analog approach to electronic music belligerence is beauty

  • yummy jomox sound

    keep tweaking!!!

  • voll der pilzklang

  • @169king ..translated means....."fully the mushroom sounded" many thanks :-)

  • @thehowlingterror

hahaha ... erm actually the translation is more like "total shroom sound".

  • @thehowlingterror means it soudns like its on shrooms ;)

  • hi. please can you tell me if this m resonator has distortion effect? (minute 0:34 to 0:37)

  • I have a M-Resonator and its really easy to get out of control with it. They're fun but I don't find it an extremely useful piece of gear..

  • puk-puk

    tuk-tuk

    not bad

  • test

  • Say, does this MFB drum synth has a phat analog sound? More organic than digital samples? What about parameters - is it more than a 909/808 clone?

  • i don't have own experiences until now...

...but check the new MFB 522 i read that this machine have a similar sounding to the 808. With nice sounds which can sound dirty as well. Specially the kick is massive and the cimbals and hats are good also.

You have also some more possibilitys but not that lot. (it's whats Beat say, a german music magazin).

    keep tweaking the knoobs!

  • the magazine is not beat but sound&recording!

    Great Vid!

  • DAMN, son!

  • WOW this is pretty good!

    nice toy ;)

could you tell me how you inserte the the audio and what you send inside?

it seems that only the kick is effected,.... than only the snare,... is that right? how you make this???

    cheers steve

  • seems they have a mixer, and have the audio the effect routed from the send fx. each channel on a mixer can either send a certain amount there or not. the output from the effect goes back to the mixer. (however you have to set it up correctly to not get feedbacks)

  • hmmm... looks like a good DJ effect for live remixing

at times, it sounds like it's just oscillating itself, but some of the tracking EFX are cool.

  • Wow!!! Start the Vid at 2:10!!!

  • Can u get one in the USA?

  • yeah...search on eBay...they usually run about $259 USD or there abouts...good luck.

  • wow, so simple yet sounds so good!! nice work.

  • good demo.

  • ..actually it's a poor demo. But it gives you an idea.

  • i want this!

  • Wow awesome vid... showing that there is a low price high quality alternative to the electribe. The little mofo owns.

  • Low price? The MFB 503 reatails at around 250 Euros, the M-Resonator for 179.

To say this setup can only produce mangled drums (and only 5 note polyphony) it costs quite a bit more than an ER-1 for example.

  • Hi,

Could you just give us a quick description of the actual setup you are using - it sounds like you have the individual outputs of the 503 going to the mixer and the M-Resonator just on the Kick drum output. I've got both of these toys but I'm not quite sure how you got the exact sound here. I'll do a movie when I have a minute....

  • Yep...separate BD & SD outputs from the 503 into my mixer, the remaining stereo output also into mixer. then sent some of the signal to the Resonator via the aux sends. finally setting the wet/dry mix.

  • Great, but it would sound even better i believe if you added a delay or loop samples of this while you're tweaking.

Nice job, do post some more :D

  • I was told about what it does... but now it's official.... I will get one.

    Jomox owes you... hehe

  • damn, that was sweet

  • Seems a little bit difficult to find the right balance without loosing control.

  • I use little markers now, and find a sound i like then mix the wet signal with the dry.

It'd take a while before i'd trust myself tweaking it in alive situation.

  • ...and nearly 7 times the price !

by the way my Dad could batter your Dad.

  • I`ve had M-reson8/ for 4 months now and It`s best machine I`ve ever had, and will be ,I think. Put it through some other effects and you are near planet Ogon. Yeah,I love using feedback...so,this was very good video! :)

  • YES !!!! thats the perfect beat !

  • Sample away...

  • Is it just the BD going through the M-Resonator? How do you like the MFB?

  • Yeah pretty much.

The MFB-503 is a good basic bit of kit, shame no midi out/thru. I'd recommend it, but not as your only drummachine.

  • Sounds very Aphex Twin. I still can't see spending 300 for one tho.

  • Kinda depends if you use that twisted filter feedback alot.

  • nice..

  • Thankyou.
