I have been a fan of 3 Doors down for several years (of rock and roll for that matter). I know this is not the INTENDED meaning, but as a Christian I like to imagine deeper meaning in the lyrics of secular music! Lyrics that would serve God rather than men. Try it, it's fun and rewarding! I like to think of this as a song as a song of longing for the SON not merely the sun. It goes well with the lyrics and video.
