I wager this band was at 30 rows back in The Rainbow the closest thing to non-ingested psychedlic I ever hope to encounter. In fact I suspect I couldn't handle as raging a show today. Between 75-79, witness, the Chopin etudes of shred-dom - sheets of sound, over what JM calls nice vamps, with every tonality a guitar stack post-Hendrix could register - check the palette over McL's career (with this year's my favourite. J Smtih?) Walden Pontyversion of Mahvishnu w Goldberg would freak crowd today

Jacktojack69 is honing his comedy skills, i take it. Sounds much more loose than the version on "electric guitarist". Aind the extended middle section of the tune that starts with a splice at 4:43 is wild. Real Tom Coster era Santana-ish.
