If you want to talk about movies, remember that an original thing hasn't originated from Disney since its inception. (Steamboat Willie was a parody of a Harold Lloyd movie Steamboat William) All the fairy tales weren't original, nothing. The only original stuff you see with Disney's name on it was all done at Pixar...Disney just distributes. Henson refused offers from Disney for the Muppets, but then he....died!

Enjoy Dizzy if you like... When you start having kids of your own, you'll find that there isn't a baby bottle, pacifier, bib, etc, etc that doesn't have a Dizzy character on it. Nobody sells anything that isn't Dizzy infested. Then you will start wondering if it isn't some sort of early age recruitment scheme. Just look around the house, you'd be surprised at how much Dizzy stuff found its way there stuck onto other things. (What adult would have a picture of a rodent on their ATM card?)

I met a guy in a folk group once who told me that his band once performed as a backing band for traditional Scottish dancers at Disney World. Disney's people told them they couldn't sell any of their own merchandise under any circumstances. After one show someone was begging him for a musical momento so he caved in and discreetly gave them a cd of their own material. Right afterwards two suits with headsets came up to him and told him never again to break Disney's agreement they had made.
