  • CBS Saturday Morning Spring 1991 Line-Up(*until July 27*):

    8:00 to 9:00am- Muppet Babies

9:00 to 10:00am- Garfield and Friends

10:00 to 11:00am- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987 TV series)

    11:00am-Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures

    11:30am- *Pee-Wee's Playhouse*

    Noon- Dink, The Little Dinosaur

    12:30pm- CBS Storybreak.

Replace by the Adventures of Raggedy Ann and Andy until Sept 7.

  • @UrkManRocks The lineup I'll remember the most from my childhood! I was in kindergarten, and usually I would change the channel after Ninja Turtles was over, go outside, or play my NES.

  • As a kid, I remember Pee Wee's Playhouse being longer and having more content :)

  • Wow thanks for uploading.. You think a memory is gone forever until something like this helps it resurface.

  • Is that Seth Green on the Fruit Loops commercial

  • It really is weird how they would show a promo for a primetime show during the Saturday morning cartoon block - especially Rescue 911. Not to mention that showing a Rescue 911 promo on Saturday mornings would not be child-friendly and too creepy for kids to see.

if they were going to show a promo for a more older generation program during that block, they should have aired a promo for The Price is Right or Ray Combs' Family Feud, to say the least. At least they were family-friendly promos.

  • I remember the Fido Dido bumpers from back in the day. He was the short-lived mascot for 7-Up, and he was pretty cool. It surprises me that the 7-Up mascot was seen in the CBS Saturday morning bumpers, yet CBS didn't show any 7-Up commercials back then. And this was during a point in 1991 before Pee-Wee Herman ended up getting in arrested for a sexual crime and was labeled a perv as a result. It wouldn't be long before Pee-Wee's Playhouse was axed by CBS for good.

  • @DieHardGameShowFan2 that was because:

7 Up' s owner in USA it's different from the world (in USA is Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, globally is Pepsico, for that reason Pepsi uses a replacement like Sierra Mist)

Pepsico paid license to use Fido Dido as mascot for their 7 Up zone (in USA they modified the brand for Slice in the ads) and CBS paid license to use him for bumpers

Fido Dido still acts as the mascot of 7 Up outside USA.

  • at 5:36 that girl looks familiar

  • Wait, wait, wait.

How is it that a kid can become Toucan Sam and therefore be entitled to all the Froot Loops he wants, and yet the Trix Rabbit can't even get a bite of his signature cereal just because he's not a kid? Shenanigans!

  • Did I just hear a promo for Naked Gun during the clusing credits sequence for a kid's show? Wow, the 90s really were weird.

  • Am I the only one who is totally freaked out that these commercials originally aired in 1991? And BTW....for those who have not realized it yet......1991 was.......TWENTY YEARS AGO?????????????????? 20 f*&king years!!!!! I feel ancient!!!!!

  • I turned 30 this year. Friggin' THIRTY! That's three whole decades old! So how do you think *I* feel? lmao

  • I remember these commercials!!

  • He looked like Seth Green.

  • Funny how the first Gameboy Color was in the Stone Age.

  • Do you remember some of the episodes in that rescue 911 commercial? What were these episodes?

  • Aesthetically, most of the media here doesn't seem nearly 20 years old.

  • thats def giovani ribisi in that fuit loop commecial

  • 4:03

Great graphics on that stone-age Game Boy!

    4:35

I can't believe they merchandised a movie like that!

  • Aaah, yes. The halcyon days of yore when phone #'s where only 7 digits long and before Paul Reubens was forever branded a perv.

  • I remember most of these commercials!

My favorite Fido Dido bumper was the one he was sitting on the couch and he floated away. Haha...

  • wow!!! seth green on the fruit loops commercial awesome sauce!!!

  • Thx so much for posting this. You just helped me remember one of the best years of my life. Ah, the nostalgia :-) Sweetness!

  • That Chips Ahoy thing takes over my hand every so often. But instead of cookies, it only happens around naked women.

  • wow@push pops

  • Dino Pebbles?

  • Whoah.. you got some awesome ads here! :D

  • I vaguely remember these commercials as I was only six. This was when tv was actually fun to watch, though.

  • 6:08 Kinda Funny

  • How long was this before PeeWee's adult adventure?

  • I have to say, this commercial block is pretty awesome, even though at the time i was a bit too young to comprehend to these ads. But still, great job!

    5/5

  • The fruit loops guys are seth green and givonni ribsi

  • Good eye, Stephanie! I definitely remember that commercial.
